In August, my partner and I rented Luc's VW California for three days. We drove it to Germany. The holiday actually started in Geel: when we went to pick up the California from Luc, we were welcomed by the alpacas in the flower field. Luc immediately sprang into action and showed us all the campervan's features. The van was fully equipped, from seats in the trunk door to a table in the sliding door on the back seat. The fridge was very clean, and we were also given a chemical (very clean!) toilet. Even before we left for Geel, we had watched a YouTube video explaining how a VW California works; Luc sends this video along after booking. Many specifications are explained in it, and Luc repeated them once more for a good understanding and smooth process. I am thinking, for example, of the reason why the door must be open when you open the roof tent. We loaded our stuff over (which wasn't much work: there were two of us, so there was plenty of room in the van), and once we set off, we immediately enjoyed the freedom a campervan brings. We got hungry, so we picked out a green spot (still in Belgium; we chose to travel slowly), unfolded the chairs and table, and took a lunch break. Passing cyclists looked up in surprise but amused: “That looks cozy!” In Germany, we slept at campsites each time, but headed out during the day in the van. We had electricity at the first site, but not at the second, though we didn't really need it: we went out for dinner so we didn't cook at the campsite, and the fridge runs for three days without electricity. Sleeping in the roof tent went excellently: neither of us are big or heavy people, so we had enough room to sleep comfortably. In the morning, we opened the windows and could wake up peacefully with a view of the trees and vineyards. Leaving in the morning doesn't require too much planning in the van: we took our pillows and sheet out of the roof tent, lowered it again, and we were ready to go. We found that very convenient. The reverse was also true: when we arrived at the campsite in the evening, the only thing we had to do was set up the roof tent (which simply involves pressing a button), throw in the sheet and pillows, brush our teeth in the sanitary block, and go to sleep. The only downside: the poles for the tarpaulin (which you sit under on the side of the van to have breakfast or read) kept sagging. We reported this to Luc upon returning home and he immediately set about fixing it. Conclusion: the VW California was equipped with everything you need to enjoy the freedom of the open air. The roof tent is a tremendous added value, and when you rent from Luc, you get a clean and well-equipped campervan.

Just the two of us went on a trip along the Opal Coast in Luc's camper. It was our first time camping in a campervan. Everything exceeded our expectations 100%. The campervan took us everywhere smoothly. The stay and the overnight stays in the van fully met our expectations. The cooperation with the owner, Luc, went seamlessly. We hope to hit the road with his van again in the future. Greetings Jan and Ann
