We hebben een bijzondere reis gehad met deze camper! Het is echt een unieke manier om het prachtige (Noordwest-)Slovenië te ontdekken. De communicatie met Gertjan verliep soepel. Gertjan is een bijzonder persoon met een eigen karakter en uitgesproken ideeën, maar één ding is absoluut zeker: hij heeft enorm veel verstand van zijn bussen. Hij reageerde snel, pikte ons keurig op bij het busstation in Ajdovščina en nam voor vertrek uitgebreid de tijd om uit te leggen hoe de bus precies in elkaar steekt. Op pad gaan in een busje van 30+ jaar oud is echt een hele ervaring. Het is best even wennen, zeker als je geen enorm ervaren bestuurder bent, maar de camper was van alle gemakken voorzien en alles werkte naar behoren. Voor de wegen in Slovenië was hij prima geschikt. We hebben in 8 dagen tijd zo'n 500 kilometer gereden. Voor ons was dat een perfecte afstand om de regio ontspannen te verkennen. Op de allerlaatste dag hadden we helaas pech met de camper, maar juist hier bewees Gertjan echt zijn meerwaarde. Hij was supersnel ter plaatse, repareerde de bus en zorgde er voor dat we alsnog op tijd terug waren voor onze reis naar huis. Kortom: als je op zoek bent naar een authentieke roadtrip-ervaring met een verhuurder waar je (zelfs bij pech) op kunt bouwen, is dit een absolute aanrader! Agosto 2026

An absolutely brilliant experience from start to finish, and I can't recommend Gertjan and his camper highly enough. Communication was a real highlight. Gertjan was happy to chat the whole way through, which made everything so easy, and he was wonderfully flexible and relaxed about pickup and drop-off rather than being strict on timing. He even collected me from Ljubljana airport and drove me back at the end of the trip. He's also a car mechanic, and honestly that gave me huge peace of mind. It's one thing to rent a van that looks good, but knowing it was in genuinely excellent mechanical shape meant I never had a single worry on the road. And the van itself completely surprised me. It's a nineties VW California, so you might expect a bit less comfort, but the opposite is true. It's a fantastic drive, smooth and confidence inspiring even over the Vršič pass, and it's clearly been looked after beautifully. It has everything you could need: a two burner gas hob, a fridge that worked perfectly, comfortable bedding, and a layout that's genuinely easy to switch from driving mode to sleeping mode and back. It made ten days of solo travel through Bled, Bohinj, Bovec and Kobarid feel effortless. One lovely thing to know is that Gertjan is a real people person who clearly cares about his guests. He'll happily talk you through everything and share his enthusiasm, and you can tell the van and the whole experience really matter to him. Thank you Gertjan for an unforgettable trip. We had a great two weeks in the campervan exploring Slovenia! It's compact and comfortable and we grew very fond of it over the course of the trip. The second week we ran into a slight complication with the van, but these things can happen with cars, and we were able to communicate swiflty and clearly with the owners so it ended up being little trouble - Gertjan and Margrieta were very warm in their response and help. Added bonus, they have a Bnb (we unfortunately didn't manage to stay because of time) in a truly pictoresque area and has beautiful hand painting by Margrieta in the rooms. Agosto 2025

We rented the van for 10 days and it was the best camping experience for me ever! With two persons, this van is the perfect mobile home: It is very lovely and well equipped (you even have a clothesline and in the kitchen is really everything you need for cooking). With the roof open, you can stand while cooking, which is very comfortable. And there is enough space to stow everything you have brought for your amazing trip. We arrived in Ljubljana via train; Marlies and Gertjan brought us to their home by car and after our trip back again to Ljubljana. Everything worked well. The take-over of the van was super easy, everything was well explaned and relaxed. Although I was a bit skeptical because of the age of the van, this old boy brought us to every height in the mountains of Slovenia. It was very easy to drive and didn't make any trouble at all. We highly recommend Gertjan's and Marlies' van: he has everything you need for a roadtrip, Slovenia is an amazing country to discover, both (the van and the country) guarantee a comfortable and nice camping experience! Wat een fantastische ervaring met de huur van de VW camperbus bij Marlies en Gertjan! De camper was geweldig – compleet uitgerust en perfect voor een onvergetelijk avontuur. Daarnaast verbleven we twee nachten in hun B&B, waar we sliepen in een gezellige kamer die van alle gemakken voorzien was. Het uitgebreide ontbijt gaf ons precies de energie die we nodig hadden om de dag goed te beginnen. Ook huurden we e-fietsen om de mooie omgeving van de B&B te verkennen. Dankzij de handige haal- en brengservice was alles super gemakkelijk geregeld. Marlies en Gertjan zijn ontzettend vriendelijk en gastvrij. Settembre 2024

We huurden de GO-CAMP 2 voor een tiental dagen. De communicatie met Gertjan liep heel erg vlot. Ze was duidelijk en snel. Hoewel de GO-CAMP oud is, bleek hij toch robuust genoeg om ons overal te brengen. Een heel charmant en gerieflijk busje. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar! Agosto 2024
