We had a nice few days in the van. The kitchen was just as described, although the fridge is a camping-style one and not suitable for storing food for several days. The van was a bit old and worn, but it was good enough for what we needed. The low rating is due to the lack of information and the unpleasant attitude from Jo during check-in. He kept saying everything was explained in the video, but he could have given us the option to pay for unlimited mileage, and he didn’t. And yes, everything is described in the app, but a little more kindness and clarity would be appreciated — especially when you're coming from another country and don’t fully understand the language. I hope the negative reviews help improve the service. Thank you. Settembre 2025
Risposta da Jo sonia . the issue is you did not read the advert in the first place. the unlimited miles is talked about there - and anyway we know you did not read the advert because after booking your first question was you wanted the van at 10 am . this is also explained as " not possible " in the advert . The advert also states that the van has a cool box - not fridge so you cant really expect anything more - or less. The price you paid for the van would suggest an older van - you wouldn't get a new van on that price ! also unlimited miles is NOT offered on less than 5 days so you would not have been able to book it . you did TRY and add it AFTER you travelled which is a strange thing ! how does that work ? !!! sorry to say but we have continued problems with Spanish NOT reading the adverts . Then asking allot of questions and then complaint suggesting they didn't know. the French , dutch , germans , Australians and kiwis all read the advert and have told us it is comprehensive . we suggest reading more next time .

Les photos ne reflètent pas l’état actuel du van, carrosserie abîmée, phare recollé au scotch et l’autre phare ne fonctionnait pas, un pare choc abîmé, les essuies glace très fatigués, une consommation excessive et un état de propreté intérieur et extérieur laissant vraiment à désirer. Et un accueil plus que sommaire de Jo. Malgré cela nous n’avons pas eu de problème et le road trip c’est bien déroulé. La taille du dougy était bien adapté aux routes et à notre attente. Nous avons adoré l’Ecosse. Settembre 2025
Risposta da Jo the vans are rented non stop from April to October and yes of course customers damage them . what should we do take new photos every time a dent appears ? if the van drove fine then you should be happy no ?

The van was fine for the trip, but the communication with the company was terrible. The first messages on the app were fine, but then they started communicating by whatsapp and it felt like we were... inconvenient (even though we were on time for the pickup, everything had been discussed before and we didn't ask for anything else or any changes). It was ok, people can seem harsh by message. We agreed a specific time for the pickup, to "make sure there was someone there" at the delivery, but when we arrived we got a message telling us the person coming was late due to traffic -no problem, we don't mind waiting for a while. And then they started asking us to complete the pickup online, which included paying some stuff, and telling us we didn't need to follow the procedure goboony asks for: so I had to pay them through a link they sent, without having signed nothing, and with no evidence for nothing. It felt sketchy. I asked when the person coming to do the pickup was expected to arrive and their response was "they are not coming" (but they only told me when I asked), and started pressuring me into paying before their closing time (we had agreed on a pickup time on the afternoon), or they wouldn't give us the van. Everything felt so shady, (even the people talking to us clearly being foreigners too by the way they talked) we thought we were being scammed. But we had little choice, since we came from abroad and it was supposed to be our home for the following days... Luckily I thought to check the van and through the window I saw it was open and the keys on the seat- so I paid and we completed the process (but it certainly felt like no one had been on their way and stuck in traffic at any moment, and this was planned). We didn't need to communicate with them again until we gave the van back. Then, also, we were told to not expect anybody, but some people finally came. The man in charge was certainly rude, but the process was completed without incident. At the end, the trip was fine, and the van was as promised, but the communication was SO aggressive and rough, we felt terrible during the whole process -we were foreigners, stuck in a place we didn't know and with no much choice... we had a really bad time. It'd be nice if they worked on that aspect, that would greatly improve the experience. Agosto 2025
Risposta da Jo coral - hello please can we remind you that when you book on Go Boony you are not booking with a company . you book with an individual - you can check the advert . so ts not correct to state the company was terrible or indeed have expectations of a company . we cannot be expected to be 24/7 all the time and guarantee this - sometimes we are delayed . it isn't end of the world is it ? why cant you say something nice about the van and the experience ? did the van serve you well ? did you break down ? ( no ) did you pay a really cheap price ? ( yes ) maybe you want to pay cheap price but expect VIP ? you need to pay more !

Risposta da Jo you are a scammer however Andrea are you not ! you chose to guarantee the 1000 liability to cover all damage and costs but you returned the van with damage and then walked off . you pretending to be honest but as it turned out you were not . you have allot of parking tickets also - all in your name now .

It was a poor experience from the beginning. The manager of the company wanted to refuse us as too many people, no matter we wrote prior and the car had the needed seats, claiming Goboony is “just a platform” and no having time to read messages. After much trouble we finally got the car. We got none introduction to the car - the manager claimed to have an appointment -, and were referred to a video instead. The car was in very poor condition, the rooftop tent molding, the whole interior smelly and the equipment dirty. Driving felt very unsafe and every day we found new things broken. Return was a horrible experience of being asked to clean the already clean and kept waiting. We cannot at all recommend this campervan or the company! Agosto 2025
Risposta da Jo so its the same again - people book on this platform with an individual but then expect the services of a company / you didn't book with a company . The vehicle they booked states it sleeps 4 person and they turn up with 6 persons and were surprised they were questioned on it . I mean who does that ? just turns up wiyj more people than it says it sleeps ???? the van didn't break down - they did big milage - and no issues but yet they want to leave 1 star review . It says everything about the people as they pay hardly anything for the van anyway - but of course expect VIP. Yes you have to return the kitchen equipment clean - just as it was at the start . we dont wash up for you .. the cool box was filthy and you behaved like child when we told you it need cleaning ! are you not an adult ? perhaps start to get realistic with your expectation. and you book with a budget car why you expect a new VIP one ?

⚠️Importante⚠️ Tornerei in Scozia, ma sicuramente non con questo furgone: il volante era completamente storto, il che non aiuta certo chi deve imparare a guidare a sinistra; era sporco (per fortuna ho portato le mie pentole da casa, perché quelle fornite erano sporche); le sue condizioni non corrispondevano alle foto (era graffiato e la parte dove si dovrebbe posizionare il cric per cambiare la ruota era staccata, rendendo complicato montare la ruota di scorta in caso di necessità). Il rapporto qualità-prezzo non vale assolutamente la pena. L'uomo che ci ha noleggiato il furgone ci ha semplicemente detto di guardare un video e, al ritorno, è stato maleducato, dicendo che avevamo sporcato delle pentole (che non abbiamo mai usato) e che dovevamo lavarle (vi ricordo che le spese di pulizia sono incluse e non sono economiche). Usare questo furgone rischia di rovinarvi la meravigliosa vacanza. Agosto 2025

Helaas was Jo niet erg klantvriendelijk bij de overdracht en al helemaal niet bij en na de drop off. Hij was erg kortaf en wantrouwend. Wij hebben een rondreis met ons gezin gemaakt door Schotland. Mijn man en ik zijn met ons eigen camperbusje naar Schotland gereden, maar omdat die niet voor 4 mensen geschikt is, hadden we een camionette bij Jo gehuurd en zijn de kinderen (18 en 21) met de trein naar Edinburgh gekomen. Hoewel ik dit bij de boeking al had gecommuniceerd, bleef Jo zowel bij de overdracht als de dropoff hier maar op doorvragen en leek hij ons niet te geloven. Over de camionette waren we ook niet erg tevreden. Zowel de camionette als het keukengerei en het servies waren bij de overdracht matig schoon tot vies, de gordijntjes stonken en de kussens, die als matras dienden waren erg oncomfortabel. Bovendien was een van de zijdeuren van de camionette kapot, zat er speling in het stuur en was er een voorlamp kapot. Ook na de dropoff bleef Jo ons stalken met mailtjes over hoe het nu zat. We kwamen bij de dropoff namelijk met een gehuurde auto, omdat onze eigen campervan het had begeven. Maar ook dat leek hij niet te willen geloven. Na alle stress, die we rondom de eigen campervan al hadden gehad, was dit niet echt een fijne afsluiting van onze vakantie. Agosto 2025
Risposta da Jo she rented a camper for two persons but on return had four person and some strange story that did not make sense. it is obvious they all four used our van which is a breach of contract . the cheek she has to imply the van is dirty - they left our van absolutely disgusting ,

Everything went well. The handover was quick and efficient. We did almost 2000km and our little van was the perfect size for our trip. It allowed us to go everywhere and at the same time to enjoy a peaceful and cute home. We had a lot of fun. The fact that Jo's motorhome are homemade give you a very cozy feeling, especially when you meet the thousands of other campervan on the van, you always feel special, different, unique. It definitely did make the trip very much more enjoyable. Would recommend it 100%, it is the best you can get for such a good price. Agosto 2025
