We booked at the last minute, as the one we were supposed to have wasn’t available and there was no contact with the original rental. With James, communication was excellent – within a single day we arranged all the details regarding pick-up and payment. The handover was very smooth; James explained everything clearly – what each feature was for and how to use it. The campervan was well equipped, with everything you might need for a trip like this. We had no issues at all while driving the NC500, whether staying at campsites or wild camping. In case of any problem, James was always easy to reach and provided quick assistance. Short trip to see if we would prefer a campervan over motorhome. Dean very good with showing us how everything worked and suggesting sites to stay at. I think a good way of telling how good something is is the response when things go wrong. We had a problem with the van the 1st night and Dean was there with a replacement within hours of messaging him the following morning. First class support. Lovely vans. Genuine nice guy. This was the perfect van for our family trip around Scotland driving the NC500 and James was brilliant with communication and all aspects of the hire of the van from start to finish. We had a small technical issue while on the road and he was always at hand on the phone to give info and support to solve the problem. Rented from James for two weeks to do the Scotland 500, with our dog too! Fab van with loads of space- excellent instructions before we left and a follow up call the next day to make sure everything was okay. James could not have been more helpful. I would highly recommend James and his vans. The van is in superb condition and was perfect for a three night off-grid stay at Knockhill for the British Superbikes. Well equipped, well turned-out and the van made it a warm, cosy and pleasureable stay in spite of the wet weather. We rented James's van for 3 nights for a trip to Dumfries and Galloway. The whole process was really smooth with James answering any questions I had quickly. The van is located just off the M6 at Penrith so it is really easy to pick up without wasting time with detours! Handover was quick and smooth and we absolutely loved the van. It had everything we needed and even as a family of four and two dogs, we managed to find a place for everything including our big shop from the supermarket! Handing back the van was just as simple and our deposit was returned that evening. Thanks to James for a very seamless first experience with GoBoony!!! This was our first experience of a motorhome holiday. We hired the Moho from James in Penrith as it was on our way from home in the Midlands up to Scotland where we were looking to complete most of the NC500 route. Leading up to the holiday I was in comms with James on a few occasions and he answered all of my questions and that was pretty reassuring. Handover was a smooth affair, the van (Wildax Citroen) was very clean and had everything we needed, James explained things really well and demonstrated everything we needed to know. Being a fellow motorcyclist we hit it off straight away and we departed happy in the knowledge that James was contactable if we needed him. This was just as well because it would transpire that we needed his assistance on a couple if occasions - NOT because of anything wrong with the van though! On the second day driving out of Dunfermiline on a twisty road we hit a major pot hole and lost ALL power from the engine. I managed to coast the van into a farm gate but the back end was sticking out in the road on a bend! James had the situation covered with breakdown assistsnce who turned up reasonably quickly but google had already saved the day! After a quick online search I found that the van had an inertia trip switch fitted that cuts all power in the event of a crash and after a re-set we were able to move. The breakdiwn truck turned up and did a check.over the front wheel and suspension and gave us the all clear. On the second occasion I managed to put the rear nearside wheel into a drainage ditch on the single track Glen Etive road whilst backing into a oassing place. Fortunately the guy I wss letting through was in a 4 wheel dtive Jeep and we got the van out no ptoblem but again James was on hand via the phone to advise us. The van was easy to drive and had all mod cons including heating which was useful on a couple of occasions. We had 7 nights on sites (and took advantage of yheir showers and facilities) and 2 nights off grid which were comfortable enough. All in the van was pretty economical and we did the whole trip of well over a thousand miles on £350 of diesel. We had a great holiday amidst the VERY spectacular scenery of Scotland! Oh and as a tip! Get an EE OR LYCAMOBILE SIM. SO IN CONCLUSION.....If youre looking to hire a reliable 4 berth motor home for a trip at a good price from a very friendly and helpful hirer then James is your go-to guy! Maggio 2024

This was my first experience using Goboony and Dean made the entire process very easy and enjoyable... For us this was a last minute booking, and this was no problem for Dean, his communication and flexibility was top notch and honetly couldn't ask for more from him... He was very helpful, and very flexible with pickup and drop off times which was very much appreciated, (although in busier times of the year this may be different). The Camper was 10/10, we had the 23 plate Fiat which was fantastic, very clean, it was fully off-grid, even in January there was plenty of power to charge devices, and we stayed warm through the night while up in Scotland. All in all, I would highly reccommend hiring from Dean, I would do it again, and Dean thanks for all the help and a trouble free experience. Febbraio 2024

Dean couldn’t have been more helpful, answering our queries in advance and upon van handover. Dean was also able to resolve (over the phone) an issue we had with the heating (operator error) on the first evening. Would use again, if we’ve not got our own van! Novembre 2023

Firstly the booking process was very easy and James responded to all our queries very promptly. We were after a particular van to try as we are considering buying one new. Our issue was does all our current kit fit (nd we have a lot). The answer was yes ,the layout of the van worked extremely well allowing us to move from living to sleeping van with little fuss and always having access to seating, kitchen and loo. Two weeks for two in the Outer Hebrides early summer for work and leisure. As a professional location photographer I have been a pragmatic owner of camper vans, six in total, for many years. Wanted something a little more comfortable for two adults plus my location scout (Flint the border collie). This van was excellent. Not too big. The process of hiring the motorhome through Dean was seamless. He was in constant communication throughout and arranged a full tour of the home explaining everything. Dean was beyond helpful, even taking us to a place he recommended on the first night. He was always available to help throughout the trip. However the real star of the show is this camper van. The pictures don’t do it justice as to how clean, smart and functional it is. Everything you could ever need. First time renting through GoBooney, Dean (James) made the experience absolutely spot on. The rental went great from start to finish and while the motorhome was mostly intuitive, Dean was available at the end of the phone for a quick query. The motorhome was very clean, had everything we needed, and drove well. My partner joked about whether the rental included the breakaway chocolate bars from the pictures...Dean went out and bought some before wrapping them up and giving it as a gift to us... what a top guy. Having hired a motorhome a few years ago, I was most impressed with the layout of the Wildax Solaris which gave us all the amenities of a large motorhome, but with the advantage of being small enough to fit down the narrow Lake District roads allowing us to enjoy the car parks by the lakes and pull ins in the valley roads. The fridge was brilliant, large with not only a freezer compartment but the handy pull out wine/beer cooler at the bottom. I was a bit dubious about storage when I first looked at the van online but in reality it has plenty of draws/cupboards/shelves to put all the clothing/books/shoes etc away in. The two bunk beds were long enough for adults to sleep in, as we did, and also the lounge makes into a good size double bed. It was easy to drive and had good acceleration and visibility. The awning was easy to put up and made a great outside dining area. I would definitely recommend this van to any couple or couple and small children for a holiday . Luglio 2022

Dean was very easy to deal with and very helpful throughout the process. The Campervan we had was a WildAx Solaris XL 2022 and we thoroughly enjoyed having the van. My wife and I have often thought of buying a Campervan and so thought it sensible to hire one to see how we got on. We had the van for 2 weeks and managed a routine of 3 nights off-grid and one night on-site. This worked well. This is a bunk bed van and the top bunk is a little tight if you are well-built or have mobility difficulties. The lower bunk is more roomy. The van is very well-specced and we had everything we needed. We were warm and comfortable (mid to late October), I would thoroughly recommend hiring from Dean. Ottobre 2022

Dean is super friendly and helpful and goes out of his way to help wherever possible. The van was great, big enough for a family of 4 while at the same time smaller than most motorhomes. This is a good thing, especially on the narrow Scottish roads. It also allows you to park in quite narrow and short parking spots. It's packed with features, like a microwave and oven and lots of good lighting, and has quite some storage space in all the drawers and cabinets. We also did some wild camping, which is easy with the onboard solar panel and large LPG gas tank. I also like the Truma heater that you can use to just blow in fresh air while keeping the windows shut. This way, you block out all the noise while still having fresh air to sleep in. We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks exploring Scotland in this motorhome, and Dean made it even more pleasurable. Luglio 2022

We rented this Wildaz Solaris XL as we were considering buying our own and the experience only helped confirm our desire to own one. This is a beautiful and really practical motorhome. We've recently sold our Autoquest 196 and I would rate this vehicle ahead of the 196 for overall use. We really enjoyed our time in the motorhome and the whole experience was made nice and easy by the renter. Would definitely recommend. Maggio 2022
