Where to begin? This isn’t just about renting a sweet van and exploring the Highlands….both of which were fantastic. It’s about connecting with Ian and Raji, who are clearly committed to providing an incredible experience for their renters. We could have chosen a variety of different vans in Goboony but decided on Art due to our interactions with Ian and Raji. They were responsive to our questions and helpful as we navigated the logistics of planning our journey. We felt like we were chatting with trusted friends. The van performed flawlessly, the bed was AMAZING and the kitchen stocked with everything we needed. After a day of exploring, it was nice to come “home”, cook a simple meal, and snuggle in out of the rain. After a thorough orientation, we drove away with confidence knowing we would have support solving any problems that might arise. As corny as it sounds, Ian and Raji are family now and will forever have a place in our hearts. Luglio 2025

Arti is een fantastische camper. Het was voor ons de eerste keer dat we met een camper op reis gingen en dat met het stuur rechts en schakelen links. De camper is zeer handelbaar en inderdaad 100% offgrid. Je kunt makkelijk een paar dagen leven op de accu's en het zonnepaneel. De inrichting is ook logisch, alles ligt opde juiste plek. Hij is prima voor zijn tweeën maar met zijn drieën is hij volgens ons te klein. Echt ern annrader Giugno 2025

As for 3 people in it, it's certainly cosy :) We had a family of 3 rent before (review below - Anthony) and I've travelled with my wife and sister and with two old school friends for a week but you'd definitely want to be very comfortable with your travel companions, I agree! It's pretty comical having close-quarters, adult-sleepovers Haha. Hope to see you guys again one day and Caroline - love your ceramics on Insta! Thank you for sharing.

WOW! What an incredible trip! This was our first time renting a motorhome and it couldn’t have gone smoother. We couldn’t recommend Ian and his van anymore, his service and communication was impeccable making everything very easy. I cannot recommend booking Art enough! We have just come back from one of the best weeks of our lives! The van is really well thought out and easy to use, it’s the perfect space for a Scottish (or further afield) adventure. It is light and airy, but super cosy in the evenings, with a very efficient heater should you need it. The kitchen has everything you could need to make all meals and the bed is really comfy. My boyfriend said it was a great van to drive. The cab is really comfy and spacious, with a charger / Bluetooth radio adapter for your tunes (or a very eclectic selection of CDs). It’s also insanely fuel efficient, we only filled up once in a week and we went to Lewis, Harris and Skye! Ian and Raji were beyond great and even stocked the fridge with some beers for my boyfriend’s birthday! They were incredibly communicative throughout the booking process, and really helpful and patient when we had an issue with driving licenses, which I was really grateful for. I could blabber on for an age about how great the experience was; I will be recommending Art, Ian and Raji to everyone I meet for the foreseeable!!! Thank you so much :) (Also very much recommend the Isle of Lewis and Harris - in particular Immerse Hebrides whale and dolphin watching boat tour and Reef beach campsite in Kneep.) Maggio 2025

I think we (you!) did an amazing job of keeping it secret and James was clearly buzzing, "literally, the best week of my life". Art is an excellent van. Great to drive and very comfortable. We slept great with the comfy bedding, bedding, and light out curtains provided. Van was very clean and organized. The van came with everything we needed to make meals and have a great time. We hit some very rainy weather and we stayed dry and warm in Art with the great heater. Ian was very communicative and warm and friendly. He made picking up and dropping off the van very easy. He took time to show us all the ins and outs of the van to make sure we had a great time. He helped us make a plan and was super with helping us by answering questions about van camping in Scotland We loved our experience and highly recommend art the van and Ian to everyone. Maggio 2025

As they say in Scotland' "it was blowing a Hooley!" You got the full Scottish blasting, but that's really when Art actually comes into his own ... He's unbelievable to come back to from those days lol and nice to wait out the storm too so glad you felt the same. It was really lovely to meet you guys and thank you for looking after Art so well - returned in god condition, all comms were easy and never felt like work. Generally good experience with you guys all round and nice to get to know you a bit in the way to the airport drop-off too :) Look forward to meeting you guys again in Colorado, so thank you for the invite! Had an amazing time on the NC 500. Ian was super helpful and gave us a proper run down in the van. Art took us all round with no problems tackling some of the littler roads with easy. Super warm to come back too. Maggio 2025

We hired Art for a week-long adventure through Skye and Harris, and had a great time! The van was comfortable, spacious, and equipped with everything we needed for cooking, sleeping, and storage. The medium wheelbase made it easy to drive too. The separate storage area under the bed was good to have. It (just!) fit our two mountain bikes and was great for keeping our bikes, helmets, and gear organised and out of the way. Ian was fantastic—he gave us a thorough walkthrough of the van before we set off and even checked in during our trip to make sure everything was going smoothly. We had an amazing time and would highly recommend Art for anyone looking for the perfect adventure van! Settembre 2024

È stato estremamente reattivo e ha risposto alle nostre (milioni, ah!) domande prima del viaggio + ci ha fornito del cibo fantastico e consigli per escursioni/avventure - abbiamo adorato il Culture Cafe di Inverness! Il passaggio di consegne è stato facile e Ian è stato puntuale/reattivo. Abbiamo avuto un'esperienza complessivamente molto bella nel furgone. La cucina era perfetta e aveva tutto ciò di cui avevamo bisogno per il nostro viaggio di 10 giorni (abbiamo cucinato da zero quasi ogni pasto), inoltre il letto e gli altri comfort nel furgone erano così comodi. Abbiamo percorso circa 750 miglia con il furgone e tutto è andato molto liscio, inoltre Ian era sempre disponibile se durante il viaggio ci sono state domande. Abbiamo percorso l'intera NC500 con un po' di costa in più e una visita all'Isola di Skye. Maggiori informazioni di seguito! Alcuni campeggi di cui ci siamo goduti: - Wick River (raggiungibile facilmente a piedi) - Shieldaig (a conduzione familiare, bella posizione) - Porto Bhaig - Il campeggio Portree era comodo per raggiungere l'isola di Skye (si poteva raggiungere a piedi la città dal campeggio) Un'escursione assolutamente spettacolare con viste spettacolari: -Stac Pollaidh - Il Quiraing (il meteo non ha permesso questa escursione ma è stato incredibile vederlo fin dall'inizio) - Il Vecchio di Storr (vai presto prima degli altri) Un posto dove mangiare assolutamente: - Shorehouse Restaurant a Tarbet/Lairg - su una strada molto tortuosa/piccola che porta alla fine di un porto/baia che sembra di essere in un film! Alcune tappe che abbiamo apprezzato quando il tempo è bello: - Castello Sinclair (cammina verso destra sulla collina, lontano dal castello, troverai degli splendidi faraglioni con viste spettacolari, non c'è nessuno in giro o altri turisti in vista!) - Pile di Duncansby - Strathy Beach (mi sono tuffato in acqua ad agosto!) Anche Achmelvich Bay sarebbe stata bella, ma quel giorno non siamo stati fortunati con il meteo - Gradini di Whaligoe - Porto e ponte di Latheronwheel - Thurso (vorremmo aver potuto camminare di più qui) Agosto 2024

It was an absolute pleasure having you guys visit and take Art out in the good loop ;) It was so nice chatting with you guys too - I wasn't in such a good way with my injury at the time but your kindness and positive energy gave me a real lift. Awesome you really used the van to it's full, staying off grid, cooking loads and adventuring from there. Great recommendations above and thank you for the photo you took of me too. My husband Benji and I had the BEST time discovering the North Coast 500 with "Art". The van had everything we needed and was absolutely comfortable and cozy inside! Due to the perfect size of the van we discovered the most beautiful spots to stay for the night and had a great time overall! Ian was extremely kind and explained everything we needed to know, so we had an easy time figuring everything out. We loved our trip and would definitely wanna travel with "Art" a second time!
