Wie schon viele vor mir geschrieben haben, ist Carlos absolut korrekt und außergewöhnlich gastfreundlich, fünf Sterne +. Er hat uns vom Flughafen abgeholt und wieder hingebracht, was ich nie erwartet hätte. Für die Kinder gab es eine Willkommensschokolade und für mich ein Fläschen Portwein. Seine Frau und er haben sich viel Zeit genommen und uns alles erklärt. Auch während der Reise, als ein Gasflaschenwechsel (wir mussten heizen) nötig wurde, war er sofort mit Rat verfügbar.
Charlie (so haben die Kinder das Fahrzeug genannt) ist gut in Schuß und sehr gut zu fahren.
Bettwäsche und Handtücher waren an Bord. Und es war auch alles andere da, was es sonst in Mietfahrzeugen normalerweise nicht gibt, z.B. Shampoo, Gewürze, Gesellschaftsspiele, ein Ball, Weingläser und eine Kapselkaffemaschine inkl. Kapseln (für mich morgens ein Traum). Wir konnten einsteigen und losfahren und haben außer Lebensmitteln nichts mehr gebraucht.
Bis auf Porto haben wir auf öffentlichen Parkplätzen übernachtet, an der Küste immer direkt am Meer, was Ende Februar problemlos geht und auch niemand stört. Wir hatten eine wirklich schöne Woche in Portugal mit Carlos Wohnmobil. Absolut empfehlenswert!
Einen Tipp hätte ich noch für alle, die eine Camper-Anmietung planen und nicht nur zum nächsten Campingplatz wollen:
Nutzt NIE Google-Maps zur Navigation abseits von den wirklich großen Straßen, schon gar nicht in Ansiedlungen, sondern eine App für entsprechende Fahrzeuge. 10 cm zur Hausmauer links und 10 cm zur Hausmauer rechts ist schon nicht lustig und dann kommt da die Dachrinne…
As many have written before me, Carlos is absolutely correct and exceptionally hospitable, five stars +. He picked us up from the airport and brought us back, which I never expected. There was a welcome chocolate for the children and a bottle of port for me. His wife and he took a lot of time and explained everything to us. Even during the trip, when a gas bottle change (we had to heat) became necessary, he was immediately available with advice.
Charlie (that's what the children called the vehicle) is in good shape and very easy to drive.
Bed linen and towels were on board. And there was everything else that is not usually found in rental vehicles, e.g. shampoo, spices, board games, a ball, wine glasses and a capsule coffee machine incl. capsules (a dream for me in the morning). We were able to get in and go and didn't need anything except groceries.
We stayed in public car parks except for Porto, on the coast always right by the sea, which is fine at the end of February and no one minds. We had a really nice week in Portugal with Carlo's motorhome. Absolutely recommendable!
I have one more tip for all those who are planning a camper rental and don't just want to get to the next campsite:
NEVER use Google Maps for navigation off the really big roads, especially not in settlements, but an app for appropriate vehicles. 10 cm to the house wall on the left and 10 cm to the house wall on the right is not funny and then there is the gutter...
Como muitos já escreveram antes de mim, Carlos é absolutamente correcto e excepcionalmente hospitaleiro, cinco estrelas +. Ele apanhou-nos no aeroporto e trouxe-nos de volta, o que eu nunca esperei. Havia um chocolate de boas-vindas para as crianças e uma garrafa de Porto para mim. A sua esposa e ele levaram muito tempo e explicaram-nos tudo. Mesmo durante a viagem, quando uma garrafa de gás se tornou necessária (precisávamos de aquecer), ele estava imediatamente disponível com conselhos.
Charlie (era assim que as crianças chamavam ao veículo) está em boa forma e é muito fácil de conduzir.
A roupa de cama e as toalhas estavam a bordo. E havia tudo o resto que não está normalmente disponível nos veículos alugados, por exemplo, champô, especiarias, jogos de tabuleiro, uma bola, copos de vinho e uma máquina de café com cápsulas (um sonho para mim de manhã). Conseguimos entrar e sair e não precisámos de nada, excepto de mercearias.
Ficámos em parques de estacionamento públicos, excepto no Porto, na costa sempre à beira-mar, o que está bem no final de Fevereiro e ninguém se importa. Tivemos uma semana muito agradável em Portugal com a autocaravana de Carlo. Absolutamente recomendável!
