Run a mile! When we arrived to collect bilbo it was clear the photos did not match the advert. The outside was filthy and covered with webs, plus the paint was heavily faded. The inside included duct tape holding up the upholstery and sections hanging down. Cupboard were tied together with cord and were filled with junk, so no storage. The hob cover and privacy curtains were also missing. We were informed the 3 way fridge had been disconnected and only worked while driving. We observed the water tank leaking while being filled by Kenny and was told it was normal. It became the running theme of being gaslit. The tank didn’t hold water and the tap didn’t run. The gas bottle that was allegedly full (they were both empty) apparently didn’t work due to low temperatures. The manager at Go Camping pointed out this lie and I had to buy a camp stove. The van was difficult to drive with no power steering and a dog leg clutch, further compounded by intermittent dash lights and a smoke alarm sounding for no apparent reason….unless of-course, we were being poisoned by carbon monoxide. I lost chunks of my knuckles when I checked the oil, something that is required every few days. My personal favourite is the sliding door that is actually a sheet of plywood that catches and doesn’t open without risking your fingers to free it. The van also isn’t air or water tight, a real treat for the Scottish highlands, as was the brakes that squeaked. All this pales in comparison to Kenny’s disgusting attitude. After being pursued relentlessly for payment of a fine, something that easily could’ve waited until the end of the hire, he refused to do a handover and follow the procedures. He proceeded to stage damage, resulting in 2 months of hassle to resolve the matter. Fortunately, go boony saw through Kenny’s lies and denied his claims. I noticed the advert has now been edited and majority of the deceptive photos removed, no where near enough though. Run a mile, I wish we had. Gennaio 2026

The campervan had everything I needed and felt like home for the week for astronomy festival week in Norfolk. Kenneth was very helpful and explained everything clearly. Driving was a great experience. Thank you again and I would definitely recommend! Settembre 2025

We hired Sammy for a 4 day trip to South Wales. We didn’t have the best weather but still had a great time as Sammy is so cosy and well equipped. He handled the hills and bends of rural South Wales admirably despite his age. Kenneth gave us a really comprehensive handover so felt confident hitting the open roads. Would recommend. I rented Kenny’s campervan 'Bilbo' for a whole month and drove all around the UK – from England up to the north coast of Scotland, across Skye, through Wales, down to the south coast of England. The Van performed perfectly throughout the entire trip, even on the steep, narrow roads in Scotland and Wales – pretty impressive considering his age and the length of my journey. The handover was super easy and smooth. Kenny explained everything clearly, showed me how everything worked, and made me feel confident that I could message him anytime if I had questions (which I never needed to!). It was my very first time driving on the left and also my first time with a campervan, but I got used to it within a day – the Van was easier to handle than I had expected. Overall: This trip was an amazing experience and 'Bilbo' made it even more special. I would absolutely recommend renting from Kenny to anyone! Settembre 2025

We had an absolutely great time in 'Sammy' for a trip to the Lake District. We found the handover with Kenny to be very easy and clear. Kenny explained how everything worked in the van and talked us through what to do should we have any difficulties (which we didn't). Sammy handled the small roads in the Lake District with ease and didn't let us down even on the very steep hills. It was really easy on petrol too which was a great bonus. The van was very comfortable for relaxing and we didn't have any issues having a good night's sleep! Overall it was a great experience and we'd definitely get a van from Kenny another time.... 5 stars Agosto 2025

Charming van, clearly been treasured. Kenny, gave me a valuable introduction to the van and how to get the best from the trip. All vital information was also stored in a folder the glove box. Although this was a solo adventure I left feeling well prepared. Given Bilbo's age I was encouraged to contact Kenny if anything unexpected happened but there was no need to. The van was delightful, clean and uncomplicated. Exactly what I hoped for. Pootling around the countryside in a van almost twice my height was dreamy, looking forward to doing it again soon! What I hadn't anticipated 1. The reflective curtains which kept the van nice and cool over a hot midsummer 2. A decent Bluetooth radio 3. Longer journey time given the age of the van (but that added to the overall feeling of relaxation and accomplishment) Giugno 2025

What a fab experience, we miss Sammy already! Kenny was an awesome person to deal with. The handover and return were really smooth and he made sure we were comfortable with knowing how everything worked before we set off on our adventure, and was promptly responsive and helpful during the trip. The van itself is a real gem - super cosy to sleep in with a fab wee kitchenette. She’s small enough to navigate narrow country lanes and find parking, while still feeling spacious enough to camp in. The handover with Kenny was very clear, he showed us everything we needed to know, this made us very confident before our journey as this was the first time camper vaning. We drove to Portsmouth area, we got caught in a lot of traffic both there and on the return, the van handled the stop start lovely. We traveled as a couple in our 60's, getting in and out of bed was an experience, as the ceiling obviously becomes quite low, but this all added to the experience and we had a good laugh and it was quite comfortable, but maybe it would be a challenge for less able, Perfect size for driving down country roads, plenty of storage, surprisingly good on petrol as well. Kenny was great from the start, very informative and laid back with the campervan. The campervan is great fun and cosy. We were running late for drop off due to traffic and Kenny was great and patient with us. 100% would recommend. Settembre 2024
