Billy is a super laid back dude, handover both ways went very smooth and stressless. We went full-on with Big Bertha, starting in Edinburgh, Ben Lamond, Three Sisters(we wanted to go to Loch Etive through "skyfall road", but Scottish single-file roads scared us in the beginning, so we cut that out of our plan). Then we moved towards Skye and stayed there for about three days visiting Sligachan Waterfalls, Old Man of Storr, The Quiraing, Fairy Glen, Coral Beach, Neist Point and Talisker. When we returned to mainland, the road took us north, all the way to Dunnet Head. On our 3-day long way back to Edinburgh we saw Peedie Sands, Duncansby Stacks, Castle Sinclair, Chanonry Point, Clava Cairns, Cairgorm Mountain, Loch Rannoch and finally The Hermitage. We spent last night in Silverdyke campervan parking in lovely coastal village of Cellardyke. As for the motorhome itself - we had some problems with leisure battery not charging during driving, so initially we didn't use hot water etc, but we were in constant contact with Billy and he went above and beyond to try and fix the issue by arranging mobile mechanic(Robert - Crofts and Lochs engineering, brilliang guy) TWICE! Somewhere in the middle of our trip Billy got us a brand new battery and with recent fixes we finally had everything we could dream of in a motorhome - Lights, hot water, all of it. We never stayed in one place for more than 1 night and we were mostly off-grid so overall I think Big Bertha did alright. Plenty of space for 3 people, quite good condition, drives ok without unpleasant surprises:) Maggio 2026

We had an excellent experience of hiring Champ (which we drove all round the Highlands). Billy communicated with us brilliantly before, during and after the trip. He helped us problem solve any issues that came up and was generally a nice person to deal with. Champ drives really well and although it was quite snug for one adult and three big gangly teenagers, we managed just fine. Bedding and towels were ready and waiting for us and the kitchen and cleaning stuff is well equipped on board. We’d definitely hire from Billy again. Agosto 2025

It was just great! A dream vacation thanks to Billy and his motorhome that was baptized: Bagpipes. Billy is a really friendly, kind and available person. Always listening. His motorhome is perfect. Very well maintained, there are all the elements that are in very good condition inside. We hope to be able to return soon and of course we will talk about Billy and recommend him to all our friends! We recently had a wonderful adventure exploring East Scotland in a camper van, and it was an experience to remember! From the start, everything went smoothly, especially with the keys handover. We ended up being three travelers instead of two, and Billy was incredibly thoughtful, even fetching an additional set of sheets to make sure we were all comfortable. Our journey took us through a breathtaking route: Inverness, Elgin, Newburgh, Aberdeen, Dunnottar Castle, and finally back to Edinburgh. Despite the famously cool Scottish weather, staying in the cozy van was a unique and memorable experience—we genuinely enjoyed the freedom and warmth it offered, rain or shine. Unfortunately, we encountered a hiccup when the van's starter broke down in Carnoustie. However, Billy’s prompt support was invaluable; he quickly helped us secure a last-minute B&B for two nights, ensuring we could still make the most of our time in the city. A big thank you to Billy for his kindness and support! Lastly, a note to Goboony: while the platform is helpful, the fees you take from van owners seem a bit high, which can make deals less competitive. Lower fees would certainly make the experience even better for everyone involved! Novembre 2024
