Richard's, campervan was perfect for our Scotland trip following the nc500. We hide the van for 2 weeks and the van comes with everything you need for a great holiday. The van was great. The van was only a few months old and was very clean and in great condition. It had all the facilities we needed and was very easy to live with. First time campervaner’s - Richard was on hand for any Q’s before during and after the trip. The van was very well equipped and fun to drive. It rained for 3 out of the 7-days we spent in Wales which made it interesting, especially with a family of x4 (2 young kids) + a 32 kg dog BUT it still didn’t feel too cramped And we made the best of it! Richard at Lovely Campervans is a pleasure to do business with. His vans are identical, absolutely immaculate (never more than 2 seasons old), very comfortable to drive and are equipped with everything you need for a real home from home. The daily hire rate for mid July was incredibly reasonable. Several neighbours were impressed when seeing the van parked on our drive so we did the honourable thing and told them it wasn’t ours and pointed to the sticker on the side! This Campervan was perfect for our trip. It was compact for 3 adults and a dog but once you get used to the space and moving bags etc it works really well. The size meant it was easy to drive on narrow roads. Richard was very helpful in explaining how everything worked and when we had questions while away he was very quick to respond. Richard was very helpful, his van was immaculate (he has a few). I would recommend to anyone. We toured Wales for ten days , a great way to see a beautiful country though I think we picked the wrong year as everyone else had booked the decent caravan parks, by decent I mean ones within striking distance of places of interest as we had no other transport other than the van, I'll take bikes next time or book earlier. Richard couldn't have been more helpful. Motor home was easy to drive and after 20 mins it felt natural to drive. The engine was powerful and the steering was light. The layout is clever and the functionality excellent. My teenagers particularly appreciated the TV and dvd player, especially on the wet evenings. The weather was wet and cold but we were dry and warm. Would recommend use the add on canopy for extra room. I would also recommend choosing your spot and stay there for a few days before travelling on. If you'd like to hire a campervan, I would highly recommend Lovely Campervans and Richard. Our first experience of campervan life was fantastic thanks to Richard. Excellent communication leading up to our holiday, the video of how to use the campervan was a great help along with Richard showing us around the van and how to use and live in the van. The campervan was great to drive, extremely clean, it was only the second trip it had been out on. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in the van. It sleeps 4 people in a double bunk at the back of the van. This was a little cramped for my wife and I and was thankful we took a tent with us. Shower was excellent, good water temperature which only takes 10-15 mins to heat up. Cooking facilities included an oven, grill and double hob. Again this area is a bit cramped but manageable. Richard was available on the phone if we had any problems. Overall it was an excellent campervan experience thanks to Richard’s communication and brand new campervan. Would highly recommend and we are planning our next trip with Richard’s campervan. Agosto 2021

Our first campervan experience and we've now got the bug for more. The van was immaculately presented and Richard's a great guy to deal with. Yes, we had a couple of minor issues with the van that Richard would not have been aware of (we suspect down to a previous user) and we sorted these out ourselves. We originally booked for two of us to go to the Tour de France and it would been perfect had it not been compromised by Covid. Instead we stayed in the UK and headed north - accompanied by dogs. Our only criticism would be it's too small for two people and two large greyhounds. All was good during the daytime but the nights were a bit of an issue due to trying to satisfy the dogs' sleeping arrangements! The van was easy to drive and a perfect size for narrow roads in Scotland and the Outer Hebrides. The Ducato chassis and engine seems perfect and will certainly form the basis for any future acquisition of our own. Thoroughly recommended. Ted & Zoe (with Molly & Freddy!). Settembre 2020

So much fun being out of the city and on the road. We were on a Grand(ish) Tour around the UK this summer and had a brilliant time in Richard's van ! Firstly, It's a fantastic vehicle first. The drive is smooth and agile which is comparable to driving a much smaller van or car. You *don't* feel like you are maneuvering a ship or turning up in an obnoxious eyesore. The front seats are the most comfortable yet and helpful on the longer drives. We are a family of 3 and the van's dimensions was well suited. We took our bikes with us for which Richard kindly let us use a rear mounted bike rack. I am 6ft-1" and had to sleep diagonally on the top bunk which was fine but it meant I had to sleep on my own. In other words for taller people of 6ft> the bunks are on the small side but otherwise very comfortable. Altogether the van was clean and felt modern and joyous. Richard is very professional in his approach. Prompt, communicative and helpful in all aspects of the hire. Highly recommending hiring vans from him and the Lovely Campervans company Settembre 2020

I don’t think I can say enough to properly convey the wonderful experience we had renting the campervan from David and Richard! The customer service was wonderful, David picked us up at the train station and brought us to the Daventry where he took the time to make sure we understood the use of the campervan and all its parts and pieces (and in case we forgot something they have a lovely how-to book typed up for reference). As well they made sure we had numbers to reach out to them directly if there were any questions on the use of the vehicle. The campervan itself was delightful. Very clean and orderly, with all the basics you would need to cook, sleep or clean (all we had to get was food to stock the cupboards and fridge). The camper itself was very user-friendly, it was quite gentle on fuel usage and was ultimately excellent for both hooking up in a camper park and dry camping in the wild. We will absolutely be utilizing them again for our holiday adventures. Dicembre 2018

We had the BEST holiday in our campervan. We went to Bavaria, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Northern Italy and back through France in 2 weeks. It was perfect for us and our 2 daughters (aged 9 & 7). It is a compact campervan but to be honest that makes getting around and driving it easier. We learnt after a day or 2 the jigsaw puzzle of where to put stuff. We also took a pop up tent so that we could store stuff in there when we were on a campsite for a couple of nights. We had 2 kids, 2 bikes, 2 paddleboards and plenty of other stuff so it worked for us. Richard was really helpful - responding quickly with an issue with the key (just a battery needed) and was very kind helping us jumpstart our car as the battery had gone flat whilst we were away. The only challenge we had was when it rained (and rained and rained!) and needed to be in the campervan all together as clearly you don't have space to 'lounge'. So if we were travelling in the winter for example I think a bigger campervan would work better - as it is ideally suited for a family of 4 when you can use the outside space for your stuff and to eat/ sit out. Overall, we had a fab time and have already recommended it to our friends/colleagues. Settembre 2018

Hiring a motorhome has certainly been a great experience, from the minute I arrived at Richards lovely premises in Sussex, he greeted me, offered me refreshments and showed me around the campervan. I was even able to leave my own car with him for the 6 nights I was travelling. It is a beautiful campervan, just a year old, very comfortable, nice to drive, with plenty of power. The living quarters are very well appointed and modern, and the bed is in a convenient position at the rear, meaning that you don't have to convert the dining area into a bed each evening as in some vehicles of this type. Loads of cupboard space and practically a full sized fridge. I would highly recommend renting a campervan from Richard and would like to thank him for the help and information he provided to me, as a first time campervan renter, I needed that, and felt supported every step of the way. Richard's van was truly perfect for the three of us. We took it to Glastonbury and it was an amazing haven away from the mayhem. The joys of a shower, chargers for phones, a fridge and a proper bed!! The beds were comfortable, and the van was virtually brand new - in amazing condition.
