GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS - Les Ventoulines Holiday Village
- 1. BOOKING. A booking becomes effective only once the following two conditions are met:
a. receipt of the duly signed rental contract, signifying acceptance of the general terms and conditions for booking and the stay. Online bookings are considered equivalent to signing the contract.
b. receipt of the deposit, amounting to 30% of the total cost of the stay.
Please note that bookings are personal and non-transferable; the rental unit may not be sublet under any circumstances.
The specific rental unit number assigned at the time of booking is not guaranteed (only the type of unit is guaranteed). It may be changed due to scheduling requirements.
The booking is held for 48 hours beyond the scheduled arrival date. After this period, the booking will be cancelled, and the amount paid will be retained by Village des Ventoulines.
No refunds will be granted for late arrivals or early departures.
- 2. INSURANCE. It is the client's responsibility to take out insurance covering the rental and civil liability. Cancellation insurance: see "Cancellation."
- 3. CANCELLATION. In the event of cancellation for any reason, the deposit paid is non-refundable. We therefore recommend taking out cancellation insurance with your own insurer. Alternatively, you may contact GRITCHEN, a company with whom we partner.
- 4. ACCOMMODATION CAPACITY. The contract specifies a maximum accommodation capacity. If the number of guests exceeds this capacity, the service provider may refuse entry to the additional guests; the contract would then be deemed terminated due to the client's actions. In such cases, the rental fee remains payable/retained.
- 5. PETS. Pets are permitted in the village on a case-by-case basis following consultation. If your pet is accepted, a fee of €29 applies for their stay. If it is a dog, it must be kept on a leash at all times—including on your terrace—and its droppings must be picked up
- 6. ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES. Check-in is between 4:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Accommodation must be vacated by 10:00 AM. If you have rented the "Lov’nid," please refer to paragraph 18.
- 7. POOL AREA. This area is for relaxation; a quiet atmosphere must be maintained. Children must be accompanied by a parent at all times. No food or drink is allowed in the pool area. Failure to comply with these rules will result in expulsion from the area.
- 8. CLEANING. The "end-of-stay cleaning" option costs €60 (€40 for a 2-night stay). Even if this service is selected, the accommodation must be left with the oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, and trash bins emptied and cleaned.
- 9. SECURITY DEPOSITS. A security deposit of €360 per unit will be required upon taking possession of the accommodation, consisting of the following:
- a security deposit check for €300 to guarantee the return of the accommodation in good condition,
- a security deposit check for €60, which will be cashed if end-of-stay cleaning is not performed correctly. If the "end-of-stay cleaning" option has been selected and paid for, this second security deposit check will not be required.
- 10. BROKEN OR STOLEN EQUIPMENT. In the event of breakage (rental unit, furniture, dishes, equipment, etc.), the client must pay the amount of the invoice issued by a professional for the replacement or repair. Undisclosed breakage and theft will be billed at double this amount.
- 11. HOUSE RULES. The client agrees to comply with the house rules displayed at the holiday village. In particular, complete silence is required between 11:00 PM and 8:00 AM. The client agrees to observe this rule and ensure that all family members do the same. Please note that pitching a tent on a chalet pitch is prohibited.
- 12. IMAGE RIGHTS. The client grants the "Les Ventoulines" holiday village permission to use their image for promotional purposes, unless they specifically state otherwise.
- 13. LOST AND STOLEN ITEMS. In the event that one or more items are left behind, there are three options:
*for a small item, you send us a pre-paid return envelope
*for a larger item, you contact UPS to arrange a pickup, which you pay for in advance
*you contact us to say you will come and collect the item in person; we will hold onto your property for one year.
The client is solely responsible for their personal belongings, and no claims regarding theft will be accepted.
- 14. LIABILITY. Participation in various activities (entertainment, guided outings, use of swimming pools and playgrounds, etc.) is entirely at your own risk. Children remain the responsibility of their parents at all times.
- 15. SUPPLIES. The following items are provided once a week: one bath towel, one pillowcase, and a set of sheets per person; one bath mat per shower room; and one roll of toilet paper per toilet. Pillows and duvets are also provided.
- 16. DINING AND BAKERY SERVICES.
In July and August, we offer a fast-food service every evening except Mondays. A bakery service is also available upon reservation. When groups staying on a half-board basis are present on-site, you may use the restaurant service, provided you make a reservation no later than the day before.
- 17. DISPUTES – CONSUMER MEDIATION. In the event of a dispute between the Client and the company, both parties shall endeavor to resolve the matter amicably (the Client must submit a written complaint to the Seller). Failing an amicable agreement, or in the absence of a response from the professional within a reasonable period of one month, a Client qualifying as a consumer under Article L.133-4 of the Consumer Code may—if the disagreement persists—refer the matter free of charge to the competent mediator listed by the Commission for the Evaluation and Control of Consumer Mediation pursuant to Article L.615-1 of the Consumer Code, namely: La Société Médiation Professionnelle – www.mediateur-consommation-smp.fr – 24 rue Albert de Mun – 33000 Bordeaux.
- 18. SPECIAL CASE: LOV’NID. All the above points apply, with the following exceptions. Full payment is required at the time of booking. Pets are not allowed. Check-in is from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and check-out is by 11:00 AM, unless you have selected an "extended stay" option (until 1:00 PM or 3:00 PM). Cleaning and breakfast are included in the rate.
- 19. SPECIAL CASE: GROUPS ON HALF-BOARD OR FULL-BOARD. Dinner is served at 7:30 PM. In the event of an unannounced delay, a surcharge of €200 will be charged. Dinner consists of a starter, a main course, a dessert, a glass of wine per person, and coffee.
Breakfast is served from 7:45 AM until 9:30 AM at the latest and includes: unlimited percolator coffee, unlimited cold milk (carafe), tea bags, powdered chocolate, individual portions of jam and butter, bread (baguette or round loaf), fresh and dried fruit, rolled oats, cheese, and hard-boiled eggs.
Picnics are offered as a buffet where guests serve themselves after breakfast. We provide disposable containers, but please feel free to be eco-conscious and bring your own reusable containers.
Rental of the dining room—which must be arranged prior to your stay—costs €300 per evening, covering the time from the end of dinner until 1:00 AM. Any time exceeding this limit will incur a charge of €200.
