TERMS AND CONDITIONS

BOOKING PAYMENTS

A deposit payment of 50% of the total amount is required to secure the reservation.
The balance must be paid 42 days (6 weeks) or more before your arrival date.
Balance reminders are not sent out so be sure to diarise the date.
Non-payment within 42 days of your arrival will be regarded as a cancellation.

SECURITY DEPOSIT via SWIKLY – Rental Accommodation & Fridge Hire

In order to make your check-in easier, a security deposit will be requested by email 7 days before the start of your stay.
The security deposit is arranged online via the secure platform run by our partners at Swikly.
This deposit is pre-authorised on your bank card and is not debited from your account as follows:

350€ – Gite Le Point de Vue and Gite Les Mathevies
250€ – Chalets Open Airs, Plein Airs and Edens
100€ – Camping Fridge hire

The deposit will be refunded to you, at the latest 3 days after your departure, if the accommodation/camping fridge has been left in a clean condition, and after deduction of any amounts retained to cover damage that may have been caused, services not paid for or the loss of keys given to you on arrival.

The rental should be returned clean and tidy at the end of the stay. It is the responsibility of the guests to clean the kitchen, clear the fridge, empty the bins, recycling etc and the barbecue. Where this is not the case, we reserve the right to deduct a supplementary cleaning charge from the security deposit.

CANCELLATION OF YOUR STAY

It is your responsibility to inform the campsite in writing of your decision to cancel. Cancellations should be emailed to info@mathevies.com.

If you cancel more than 42 days before your arrival date, the full amount will be refunded less 30% and less the booking fee (where applicable) and an administration fee (50€).

If you cancel 42 days or less prior to your arrival date, or in the event of non-arrival at the campsite, the full amount is retained.

No compensation is given in the case of late arrival or early departure.

Unless the campsite is advised in writing of late arrival, the pitch or let will become available 24 hours after the reserved arrival date.

Any requests for booking changes are subject to availability and a 50€ fee applies.

CAMPING PITCHES

Pitches are available from 2.30pm – 8pm and must be vacated by 12.30pm. There is no setting up after dark.
Specific camping pitches may be requested but cannot be guaranteed.
Maximum of 6 persons (4 adults) permitted per camping pitch.
Maximum of 1 tent, caravan or camping car is permitted per pitch (an extra tent of 2m x 2m may be reserved for a supplementary fee).

RENTAL ACCOMMODATION

All rentals are available from 4pm and must be vacated by 10am.
For all accommodation obligatory cleaning fees apply (see the tariffs page for details).
All rentals have fully equipped kitchens and bathrooms, as well as bedding (except sheets and bathroom towels which may be pre-ordered).
Inventories are provided and guests are required to check them and inform management of any anomalies on the same day.

TOURIST AND ECO TAX

Tourist and Eco tax is shown clearly on invoices and is collected on behalf of the local municipality.

PETS

Pets are permitted (except categories 1 and 2 of the Dangerous Dogs Act).
A valid vaccination certificate is compulsory and will be requested upon arrival.
Dogs must be kept on a lead and must never be left unaccompanied.
Dogs are not permitted within the swimming pool area.
