Lodging le Lac Terms and Conditions

We are a private establishment open to the public. Therefore, you must comply with our internal regulations and terms of sale.

OPEN FROM FEBRUARY TO NOVEMBER

RECEPTION HOURS:
9:00 AM / 12:30 PM – 3:00 PM / 7:00 PM (July and August)
9:00 AM / 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM / 5:30 PM (other seasons)

ARRIVALS
Arrival times are between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM.
Rental arrivals MUST be made during opening hours. You cannot actually check in before 3:00 PM.
If you check out outside of these hours, you will not be able to use your rental and you will lose your overnight stay. Please allow for travel time.

Regarding the maintenance of the accommodation: a kit is provided for your use, listed on the website for your rental, and is also available in the accommodation on laminated sheets. It was previously checked upon departure by your previous guests and is considered complete if you do not report any deficiencies or shortcomings within two hours of your arrival.
The accommodation is returned clean and must be identical upon your departure.

DEPARTURES
Check-out times are only from the office opening time until 11:00 a.m. Once you have checked out, the accommodation is closed behind you. Late check-outs are not permitted due to the careful check-in process and the arrival of future residents. After the check-out time, half a day will be charged at your expense, and after 3:30 p.m., the following night will be charged, and a cleaning fee will be immediately applied due to the urgent cleaning required by the cleaning team. Early checkouts are NOT allowed (they are of no use in the event of theft or damage). However, if you have to leave early, your stay will not be refunded. The deposit must be sufficient to cover a cleaning fee and any possible damages.

Regarding the upkeep of the accommodation: the keys are checked in your presence and then more thoroughly by the housekeeping staff a second time. Any uncleanliness noted is then noted, often photographed, and sent to assess the damage to be deducted from the deposit. This often involves overly cursory cleaning, which landlords will not accept after you, and other uncleanliness related to a lack of cleanliness (forgotten trash, unwashed floor, sheets not returned, broken glasses hidden, stove, dishes not put away, blankets in a ball, uncleaned floor, etc.). As a reminder of the rental guidelines, a cleaning fee is then deducted from the deposit.

At the reception desk, you'll find all the services of LODGING LE LAC, information on food options, sports facilities, local tourist attractions, and various useful addresses.

A system for collecting and processing complaints is available at reception.

General Booking Conditions

All reservations are personal and non-transferable. Arrival times: before 6:30 p.m. in July and August, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. outside of these periods (please note that after this time, reception is closed for check-in, and you will not be able to access your accommodation until the following day).
Your reservation is effective upon payment for your stay via the secure payment system available at www.lodginglelac.fr. By paying for your reservation, you declare that you have read and accept the general terms and conditions of sale.

PLEASE NOTE: The 50% deposit is only a pre-reservation and is only binding on us for 3.5 days of your stay. For contractual purposes, only full payment one month in advance will fully guarantee your stay, which will then be confirmed.
CANCELLATION CONDITIONS
Please note that the customer must pay 100% of the amount 30 days prior to arrival.

3. On the date of your reservation, you have a cooling-off period*, except for stays within one month of the reservation; the cooling-off period is no longer possible: placing an order is a reservation ACQUIRED, therefore, and obviously for a stay overnight, within a week, or within two weeks, up to four weeks before the date of the stay. A postponement arrangement can be made with management. Otherwise, the period is 7 days* (full refund in this case).

Less than 15 days before arrival and within 30 days: you are liable for the entire cost of your stay. No refund will be issued. You will forfeit the entire amount of your stay, which must have been paid for.

More than 31 days before arrival and less than 40 days: you will be charged a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the stay. Therefore, you will be reimbursed 50% of the stay in cases of justified force majeure (physical accident with disability, death, etc.).

More than 41 days and less than 60 days before arrival: you will be charged a cancellation fee (around €25).and 30% of the stay amount; therefore, a refund of 70% of the stay + €25 fees as well as any fees related to the refund (bank transfer or PayPal fees added) and proof of payment required.

More than 61 days before arrival: the entire stay is only refundable from 2 months and 1 day before the arrival date of your stay. Refund without proof of payment, but cancellation fees of around €20 will be retained, as well as any fees related to the refund (bank transfer or PayPal fees added).

Note: Fees incurred when booking online via PayPal are never refunded.

4. For Rentals: If booking by phone or email, the balance of the reservation must be paid no later than 30 days before the scheduled arrival date, without any reminder from us. Arrivals at rental properties must be between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Beyond this time, you already lose the rental day, and we can't move you in until the next day.

PLEASE NOTE: DEPARTURES are only between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Check-outs cannot be made the day before for early departures the next day. Check-out is not possible upon departure.

5. For Rentals: Upon arrival, you will be required to pay a security deposit of at least €800 (depending on the type of rental) and up to €1,500, which will be returned to you at the end of your stay, less any cleaning and restoration fees. Cleaning is not included in the rental service. Although you find a clean rental, you must return it in its original condition for the future tenant to enjoy.

For Pitches: Payment for reservations is made by phone or email: lodginglelac@gmail.com or directly from our website. No discount or deduction will be granted in the event of late arrival or early departure. Pitches must be vacated by noon; after that, the entire day is due. You must also arrive before 6:00 PM to set up your pitch during peak season (July-August). You must also arrive before 5:30 PM in other opening months. After this time, we no longer guarantee that your reservation will be retained, which becomes void, and you lose your deposit.
6. Bis: During the quote (rarely), a pitch number may be assigned to you for informational purposes; this number is not contractual; it may fluctuate to optimize the setup schedule.
7. All CAMPING stays are payable in full on the day of arrival. No discount will be granted for late arrival or early departure. Accommodation payments must have been made in full one month prior to your arrival. No contract will be valid without your compliance with this contractual obligation.

As rates are calculated based on the N-1 date, there may be a price variation upon arrival due to a change in tourist tax rates or a general increase. This general variation can be up to 10% higher.

8. The campsite has taken out civil liability insurance (GAN Insurance).

9. Online Reservations – Secure Payment
Your reservation is confirmed by paying your stay online (deposit or total) via our secure bank account or PayPal, as preferred.

You can also pay by check or bank transfer, but in this case, your payment must reach us within 3 days; after this date, your reservation request will be canceled.

The campsite cannot be held responsible for computer outages, general internet outages, strikes, storms, fires, or other serious disruptions.

No refunds will be issued for stays in progress for EARLY DEPARTURE, rain, or any other reason.

10. DEPOSIT: A security deposit by credit card imprint will be required upon arrival. The amount will depend on your rental. It is generally used in the event of breakage, damage, or theft, to return the rental in the condition found, with our bed protectors untorn and left on the mattress, and for cleaning and restoring the rental. Otherwise, a debit will be made from the deposit. Otherwise, it will be canceled the next day after the cleaning and check-in of the other tenants. Thank you for your understanding.

11. All campers are required to comply with the campsite's internal regulations.

Internal Regulations
1. Conditions of Admission and Stay
To be admitted to, settle in, or stay at LODGING LE LAC, you must have the authorization of our manager or their representative. The latter is responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance and order of the campsite, as well as compliance with these internal regulations.

Staying at LODGING LE LAC implies acceptance of the provisions
of these regulations and the commitment to comply with them. No one may take up residence there. Proper attire is required. Visitors are only accepted with the permission of reception. Any extension of a visit must be respectfully arranged at reception.

2. Police Formalities
Minors unaccompanied by their parents will only be admitted with their parents' written permission. A form will be sent to you and must be given to us upon arrival.

In accordance with Article R. 611-35 of the French Code on the Entry and Residence of Foreigners and the Right to Asylum, the manager is required to have foreign nationals complete and sign an individual police form upon arrival. It must include:
1° First and last name;
2° Date and place of birth;
3° Nationality;
4° Usual address. Telephone number and email address.

Children under the age of 15 may be listed on one of the parents' forms.

3. Installation
Outdoor accommodation and related equipment must be installed in the designated location in accordance with the instructions provided by our manager or their representative.
Special note: Electrical connections are subject to authorization AND payment. Some accommodations only support small capacities (stilts, mobile tents, bivouacs, campfires, etc.) and are therefore exclusively for lighting and mobile phone charging. It is forbidden to add refrigerators, heating elements, or cooling coils. No unauthorized connections will be tolerated.

4. Animals

Dogs are allowed on the land-based CAMPING area, but only on a leash and with up-to-date vaccination records; but ABSOLUTELY not in the rental accommodations (for hygiene reasons, on the WOODEN floors and SOME fragile RENTAL ACCOMMODATION made of stretched canvas or netting, for example). Accepted dogs must be quiet and not disturb the neighbors.

Otherwise, you will have to leave the accommodation without a refund; thank you for your understanding.

Applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Dogs may stay tied up on the outdoor terrace (a loaner kennel may be provided).

The rental must be returned clean and in the condition provided. If we have to perform a full cleaning due to hair loss, or worse, fleas, or disinfection, we would be required to calculate the hours or days spent as rental loss. The requested deposit can be used for this charge.

In addition, we have semi-domesticated rabbits that roam freely on the campsite. If one of your animals, or if you yourself kill one of our animals, even accidentally, you will be charged a fixed fee of €1,200.

6. Posting
These internal regulations are posted at the entrance to LODGING LE LAC and at the reception desk. They are given to each guest upon request. The prices for the various services are communicated to guests under the conditions set by decree of the Minister responsible for consumer affairs and are available for consultation at the reception desk.

7. Departure Conditions
Guests are requested to notify the reception desk of their departure the day before. Guests who have not paid for their stay online or by telephone and intend to leave before the reception desk's opening hours must make payment the day before. A deposit will be left for the inventory.

8. Noise and Silence
Guests are requested to avoid any noise or conversations that could disturb their neighbors. Sound systems must be adjusted accordingly. Door and trunk closings must be as discreet as possible. Dogs and cats must never be left free, but must be kept on a leash or tied up. They must not be left at LODGING LE LAC, even locked up, in the absence of their owners, who are legally responsible for them. The manager ensures the peace and quiet of its guests by setting times during which complete silence must be observed; (under penalty of exclusion WITHOUT refund) and financial compensation for neighbors in distress.

9. Visitors
After authorization by the manager or their representative, visitors may be admitted to LODGING LE LAC under the responsibility of the campers hosting them. The client may receive one or more visitors at reception. LODGING LE LAC services and facilities are accessible to visitors. However, the use of these facilities may be subject to a fee, according to our rates posted at the reception desk.
Visitor vehicles are prohibited on the grounds.

Vehicle Traffic and Parking
Inside LODGING LE LAC, vehicles must drive at a limited speed. Traffic is permitted from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. in exceptional cases: only for setting up, dropping off groceries, loading, and packing up equipment.
A few rare sites have a parking space (disabled access), so you must leave your vehicle in the parking lot EXTERIOR. At the lodge, we prioritize nature (free-roaming rabbits) over 4-wheelers. You are not permitted to park within the grounds.
Authorized vehicles (PMR) must clearly display the parking permit issued upon arrival. The indoor parking is only available for arrivals or for special guests who have paid for parking.
9. Maintenance and Appearance of Facilities
Everyone is required to refrain from any action that could harm the cleanliness, hygiene, and appearance of LODGING LE LAC and its facilities, particularly the restrooms. It is prohibited to dispose of wastewater on the ground or in the gutters. Guests must empty wastewater in the designated areas. Household waste, waste of any kind, and paper must be placed in the designated bins and containers. PLEASE NOTE: Selective sorting. Washing is strictly prohibited outside of the designated containers.

Laundry can be hung out to dry, if necessary, in the shared drying rack. However, it is permitted until 10 a.m. near the accommodations, provided it is discreet and does not disturb neighbors. Clotheslines have been installed for this purpose at almost every site. Drying may never be done from trees.

Planting and floral decorations must be respected. It is prohibited to drive nails into trees, cut branches, or plant anything. It is not permitted to mark the location of a campsite using personal means, nor to dig the ground.

Any repairs to damage caused to vegetation, fences, grounds, or facilities at LODGING LE LAC will be the responsibility of the person responsible. The site used during the stay must be maintained in the condition in which the camper found it upon arrival. We emphasize this point for sites in winter storage.

For rentals with varnished WOOD floors (less than 3m²): oriole, lory, lumpsucker, linnet, and fieldfare. You are asked to remove your shoes. Otherwise, damaging the floor will result in a charge for the cost of floor repairs.

No graffiti or posters are tolerated. Failure to do so will result in the equipment being repaired at your expense.

RENTAL EQUIPMENT

Mattress protectors. All our bedding is equipped with semi-durable protectors. You must not remove or tear them. If this is the case, you will be asked for the following contribution: €1 per pillowcase / €2 for bottom sheets / €6 for a small duvet cover, €8 for a large one / €13 for laminated duvet covers. The rental conditions of sale apply. Thank you for your understanding.

12. Safety
a) Fire. Open fires (wood, coal, etc.) are strictly prohibited. Stoves must be kept in good working order and not used in dangerous conditions. In case of fire, notify management immediately. Fire extinguishers are available for use if necessary. A first aid kit is located at the reception desk.
b) Theft.
Management is responsible for items left at the reception desk and has a general duty of care and supervision of LODGING LE LAC; however, it is not responsible for any thefts committed within the campsite. Campers remain responsible for their own facilities and must report the presence of any suspicious persons to the manager. Guests are encouraged to take the usual precautions to safeguard their equipment. They must provide a copy of their caravan insurance.

13. Games
No violent or disruptive games may be organized near the facilities. The meeting room may not be used for rough and tumble play. Children must always be under parental supervision. The children's play area is under parental responsibility.

14. Unoccupied storage and winter storage
Unoccupied equipment may only be left on the site with management's approval and only in the designated area. This service is subject to a fee, is personal, and is provided only by contract.

15. All stays must be paid for upon arrival. The same applies to winter storage. No credit is accepted. Failure to pay within eight days will result in eviction. Equipment left on site without payment will be automatically removed and disposed of at the offender's expense.

16. Recycling, Waste Management
GARBAGE BAGS are not provided; you must bring them with you or purchase them at reception (20 cents per bag).
You will certainly love our region for its wild and unspoiled nature. We advocate for active environmental monitoring; help us and participate in this preservation. Let's be eco-responsible, even with the smallest gestures. GLASS is collected, PLASTIC is collected.In the YELLOW bins, place the CORKS (we've made wooden bins for PLASTIC CORKS collected for charitable purposes for people with reduced mobility). A separate receptacle is available for CORKS and used BATTERIES. For your FOOD waste (vegetable and fruit peelings, coffee grounds, pasta scraps, fries, etc.), please use the WOODEN COMPOSTER at the entrance, on the concrete platform.

For all other waste, a standard trash can with a brown lid is located near the bar. Thank you for your active participation. PS: Our chickens will love your food (bread, rice, pasta, etc.) as well as greens or peelings for the little rabbits.

17. Violation of the House Rules
In the event that a resident disrupts the stay of other users or fails to comply with the provisions of these house rules, our manager or their representative may, orally or in writing, if deemed necessary, formally notify the resident to cease the disturbance. In the event of a serious or repeated violation of the house rules, and after formal notice from our manager to comply, the latter may terminate the contract and exclude the resident. In the event of a serious violation, our manager may call the police.

Personal Data GDPR
Your Personal Data

The lodginglelac.fr website does not request personal registration from its visitors and does not record any personal data simply for browsing its pages. When using our contact forms, you are invited to provide your contact information. Lodginglelac.fr undertakes not to share your data with third parties. Lodginglelac.fr may use this data to send you information about its own services. You can unsubscribe from this mailing list at any time (an unsubscribe link is provided at the bottom of each email). The legal basis for this processing is consent (Article 6.1.a of the GDPR).

What personal data is processed?

Your name or company name, postal address, telephone number, and email address. This data is deleted when you unsubscribe from any mailing list.
