General Terms and Conditions of Sale

The opening date of the campsite and reservations are indicated on the website www.camping-moulin-de-gournier.com.
In order to benefit from the services offered by the campsite, it is essential to read and accept these general terms and conditions. Any stay at the campsite implies full and unconditional acceptance of these conditions.

The municipal campsite Le Moulin de Gournier** offers:

A campsite accommodating tents, motorhomes, vans, and caravans
Rental accommodations
Twin-axle vehicles (caravans, motorhomes, etc.) and heavy equipment are subject to authorization depending on pitch availability.

 
1. Camping Pitch Rental
The basic package includes an empty pitch for 2 people.

On a tent pitch, no more than 3 installations (small tents) and one passenger car are allowed. Some pitches not accessible to vehicles will require parking in the designated parking area.

On a caravan pitch, there may be no more than one caravan or one vehicle used for accommodation (*), one small tent, and one car. (With campsite approval, additional small tents—within reasonable limits and safety guidelines—may be installed; extra charges will apply for additional people.)

On ALL pitches, there may be no more than 6 people, including children and babies. One additional car per pitch may be tolerated (provided both cars fit on the pitch without obstructing traffic and the pitch allows it). All vehicles must be declared at reception (license plate and stay dates), as well as all movements of people.

(*) A vehicle used for accommodation = used for sleeping.

 
2. Weekly Rentals
Period – Low season: Minimum stay: 2 nights
Period – High season: Minimum stay: 1 week
(see our rates and rental periods)

The maximum number of people per rental depends on the type of accommodation.

STRICTLY PROHIBITED in the rental area and accommodations:

Motorhomes, vans, or converted vehicles
Tents
A second vehicle may be authorized with reception approval.

Arrival: from 2:00 PM during reception opening hours.
Departure: no later than the day before, the client must schedule an inventory/check-out appointment at reception. This inspection is carried out once the occupant has emptied and cleaned the accommodation. Mobile homes must be vacated by 11:00 AM at the latest.

Any early departure must take place during reception opening hours.

For missing, damaged, or non-returned small equipment, the client may replace the item with an equivalent model. In case of more significant damage, repair costs may be charged upon presentation of the invoice.

Gas and electricity for rentals are included in the rental price.

 
3. Reservation via the Platform
Booking fee: €5

All pitches and the 3 rental units are available for reservation (see opening dates on the website).

Reservations must be made by the adult who will hold the pitch and be present for the entire stay. Booking for a third party is not allowed. The system is as follows:
1 reservation = 1 family (or group of friends) = 1 pitch or rental = 1 payment.

Reservations must be made online via our dedicated module. We do not accept bookings by phone or mail.

To make a reservation:

Enter all required information, especially number of people and equipment (very important for proper pitch allocation).
The cost of the stay will be displayed online; the client must verify all information before confirming by paying the deposit.
An acknowledgment email will be sent automatically.
The request will be processed by the campsite (processing time approx. 3 weeks in January–February).
The request may be refused if the campsite is full or if the equipment is incompatible. If accepted, a confirmation email will be sent with deposit payment instructions.

The reservation becomes effective once validated and the deposit is received.

Pitches are assigned based on planning, dates, number of people, and equipment size.

Payment of the deposit constitutes a binding contract. No changes are possible afterward. No refunds except those specified in these terms.

 
4. Stopover Pitches (Non-bookable)
Available subject to availability and assigned according to:

Type and size of equipment
Number of people
Order of arrival
The adult holder must present themselves at reception with ID and vehicle registration. Booking for third parties is prohibited.

 
5. Rates
Rates are set annually, include taxes, and are displayed at reception and online. Tourist tax is additional.

Rates include access to sanitary facilities, playground, and service area. Additional fees apply for extras (extra person, pets, etc.).

Loaned items (baby chair, adapter, hairdryer, tents, etc.) will be charged in case of damage, loss, or non-return.

 
6. Payments via Online Platform
Booking fee: €5

Deposit:

Pitch: 20% of total stay
Rental: 25% of total stay
Payment confirms acceptance of these terms.

Balance:

Must be paid no later than departure day
For walk-in guests: payment at arrival or departure.

Clients must ensure all administrative and financial matters are settled before leaving and return any borrowed items.

 
7. Cancellation and Refunds
Client cancellation:
Booking fees and deposits are non-refundable.
Cancellation requests must be received at least 1 month before the stay (postmark proof).

Campsite cancellation:
In case of force majeure or safety concerns, the campsite may cancel the stay. Payments will be refunded (except in force majeure cases). No compensation will be paid. No refund in case of expulsion due to rule violations.

Right of withdrawal:
According to French law, accommodation services for specific dates are not subject to the 14-day withdrawal period.

 
8. Campsite Rules and Contractual Documents
By confirming the reservation, the client acknowledges having read and accepted the campsite rules and all contractual documents.

Serious or repeated violations may result in termination without compensation. In case of legal offenses, authorities may be contacted.

Minors are not accepted without a parent or legal guardian present during the entire stay.

Reservations are personal and cannot be transferred or sublet.

Liability:
The campsite holds civil liability insurance but declines responsibility for theft, damage, or natural events (floods, weather, etc.).

Clients must have valid liability insurance and be able to provide proof.

 
9. Arrival and Departure Times
Arrival:

Camping: from 2:00 PM
Rentals: from 2:00 PM
Departure:

Camping: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Rentals: 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM after inventory
Late departures incur a €70 fee.

 
10. No-show
After 24 hours without notice, the campsite may reassign the pitch/accommodation. Booking fees and deposits will be retained.

 
11. Refusal of Access or Reservation
The Mayor or representative reserves the right to refuse access to anyone who has violated rules or failed to pay (including previous years).

 
12. Data Protection and Image Rights
Personal information is confidential and used only for stay management and communication.

In accordance with GDPR, clients have rights to access, modify, or object to their data (request by mail).

During the stay, clients may be photographed or filmed for promotional use. Refusal must be notified by registered letter with ID copy.
