Volkswagen Westfalia

I proprietari sono stati veramente gentilissimi e super disponibili. Abbiamo avuto un problema di salute (non collegato al van) e ci hanno aiutato molto. Il van ha i suoi anni ma se li porta benissimo, motore rifatto l'anno scorso. Ottimi frigorifero, pannello solare e batterie.

First i thought i would be welcomed by the owner. Instead there were two Germans. I thought Luis is the owner and by the name i thought it was local guy but maybe my mistake but still... However, the Van was not in a good shape, very old not well maintained. Front left side "A pillar" was totally rusted, the fridge wasn't working properly and the solar panels apparently did not work. At some point i got stuck in North of the island because the car battery died so i had to sleep in the middle of some parking near the road so i could wait for the replacement with new battery which was done next day in the morning. The old battery was, well.... Very old. I was given few directions where to go etc. But i was also advised if i decide to go on Mount Teide that i should take different route than usual which was much longer. Didn't understand why, apparently the Van was not capable going uphill... The road to Masca was strictly forbidden to go to... which i also did not understand why. Luckily for them those were not my points of interest since I've been to Tenerife before so it didn't bother me but for someone who would like to see those places (and those are very popular and beautiful) they would be highly disappointed. Nevertheless i made the best out of my trip and had fun in my own way. Far away from main tourist scenes. I wish the Van would be in better shape, that way i would not worry to get stuck in the middle of nowhere. Especially for this price the quality and the state of the vehicle was disappointing. When i returned the Van i had to drive to certain place so i could give it back. The place was some sort of mechanic shop with other vans parked, there was also one who looked suspiciously similar to the one on the pictures which made me wonder if i got the same Van as posted on their profile. Very shady... However i had fun and arrived home in one piece. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RESPUESTA DEL PROPIETARIO: Gracias por calificar. Somos cuatro gestores, dos de nosotros alemanes. Hay que saber que un T4 no es un coche nuevo. Pueden producirse defectos que corregiremos lo antes posible, como en su caso. En la alta montaña de Tenerife te dimos recomendaciones sobre qué caminos son los más amigables y menos peligrosos para evitar que el motor hierva o tengas un accidente en terreno intransitable. Es una pena que no hayas entendido eso. Mis mejores deseos ... 

Anne a été très réactive pour répondre à mes messages et a eu la gentillesse de venir nous chercher à l'aéroport et de nous y déposer au retour. Elle nous a partagé des informations utiles pour notre escapade. Le van est confortable, le lit super, la kitchenette bien aménagée. une belle façon de découvrir l'ile et de dormir dans des lieux de nature magnifique  

Nous avons passé un super voyage grâce à Mayte et Luis !!! Première expérience pour nous en van, l'île s'y prête à merveille, nous avons été ravi 😍. Mayte et Luis sont très arrangeants et réactifs, ils s'organisent pour que votre voyage soit parfait. Un grand merci Adrien & Laura.
