This is my first time renting with Yescapa. I must say that the Yescapa web application has a few quirks and issues, at least when used from a time zone such as mine (Eastern United States) and this took some care and verification. My travel dates needed to be adjusted to an offset of the intended dates in order to input the desired dates. As a first time renter, I am sure I have a bit of a hurdle earning the trust of vehicle owners and it took a few attempts reaching out to various owners before I finally reached out to Torsten. He had instant rent activated so it was easy, but I also hope I did my job to earn his trust by communicating well and returning the vehicle in good condition. I was warned by a friend (also a long time Yescapa user) to talk to the owner (Torsten) about security deposit ahead of time and I am glad I did and I was prepared with cash. Not all vehicle owners accept electronic or online payment for the security deposit and Yescapa could perhaps do more to either help with this part of the process or give advance notice to prospective renters like me so they can be prepared. Lucky for me, my friend told me in advance and I was able to bring cash for the security deposit avoiding any last minute troubles. The Grand California is among the nicer vehicles in this category so be prepared for the security deposit (and the cost) to reflect that. As for Torsten and the van, I couldn't be more satisfied. The van is in great shape, very low miles and is kept well maintained, all records and permits up to date. Torsten did a great job explaining all the features of the van and explaining his pricing (for example the cost if the cooking gas tanks were depleted, etc.) And considering that we have a language barrier and had to use google translate everything worked out. Of course, your experience may be different and surely Torsten might reserve the right to accept or not rentals if communication could be a problem, but for us everything worked well. I am mechanically savvy and I am sure that helped too. Don't hesitate to use Yescapa and maybe rent the Grand California 600 from Torsten, but beware that Yescapa has a few quirks and you should be diligent with communication to be sure everything is in order as you prepare for your trip.

Great rental, Torsten made it easy and the campervan was in really good condition both inside and out. Can’t fault it.
