The handover of the van was very efficient and we were on our way within 20 minutes. Not familiar with Goboony, but uploading the photographs of any pre-existing damage immediately after the handover was easy to do and reassuring too (meant there would be no quibbles once the van was returned). The van itself was excellent and didn’t put a foot wrong (we travelled from Exeter to Inverness, where we drove the North Coast 500. We then drove back to Exeter). The van itself is very easy to use - whether it’s putting the pop top up or turning on the heating when parked up at a campsite, the control panel on the roof of the driver’s cab allows you to do all this at the touch of a button. The van was well equipped with cutlery, plates, mugs, pans, a tea towel and a dish cloth. The fridge too, was an excellent size - large enough for my wife and I to store enough provisions for 3 days. My wife and I are not large people, either in height or width. We are also fit and agile, so for us, the VW California was perfect. We would very happily use the van again and unreservedly recommend Penelope’s van to anyone considering hiring a small VW camper for a week or two. Thank you! September 2024
