We hired Dean's campervan for 3 nights as first-timers, to dip our toes into the world of campervans. Everything was great - clear and helpful handover from Dean plus his You Tube videos as back up if needed, to show how everything works. The van is well equipped with all you need for a short trip, and easy to drive. We made the trip "over the border" from Devon into Cornwall to a great site at Dennis Cove, Padstow.

Dean was not there for the handovers but his son assisted and the handovers went well. This was the first time campervanning so was a trial run for us. We took Doris to Wales and had a great time. The van had everything within as mentioned in the advert. The heating in the back of the van worked well and warmed the van when the temperatures dropped at night. Unfortunately the heating in the front of the van only gave out cold air so in the mornings the van was very fogged up and took a long time to clear before we could set off. Dean was aware of the issue and looking to resolve. We had a great time travelling around and the van had everything we needed. Definitely worth considering for your trip.

Pour notre première expérience en camping-car, Doris a été le compagnon parfait pour nous accompagner sur les routes étroites et sinueuse des Cornouailles. Le check-in et la prise en main ont été rapide et simple. Le basculement en mode camping est relativement facile, les vidéos ingénieuses de Dean aidant bien 😉 Dean est une personne vraiment charmante qui s'est proposé de venir nous récupérer à la gare afin que nous puissions profiter au plus vite de nos vacances. C'était très appréciable. Cette semaine à bord de Doris nous a convaincu de ce mode de voyage. Deux français de France tombés amoureux des Cornouailles et impatient de venir de nouveau se balader dans cette région magnifique 😉

Great van, very clean and surprisingly comfortable bed! Worked well with no issues and did really well with the diesel mpg. Dean’s you tube videos on how everything works are brilliant. All nice and easy, definitely recommend hiring this van!

Dean is very helpful, trustworthy, and pleasant. Handover was quick and easy. There are plenty of YouTube vids explaining all aspects about Doris. I did 1007 miles through Cotswolds, Lake District and Welsh mountains, with no trouble. Doris is well maintained and well equipped. It was my first time using a camper van and would definitely hire Doris again.

The handover with Dean was very smooth and we felt comforted by this as it was our first time in a motorhome. We had 4 days in Cornwall and we loved the freedom that the motorhome brings. Doris is compact enough to cope with the roads in Cornwall and the bed is small but comfortable. She is easy to drive as well.

Dean is a Great host and it was a real easy handover when collecting Doris, he explains everything you need to know before you leave, She’s immaculately clean and tidy, just take your own quilt, food & alcohol for a few cocktails at night under the stars on the coast taking in the views 😍 me, my partner and Ziggy the dog hired doris for a week for Christmas and went home to North Yorkshire to stay in Whitby (very cold weather up there) but the camper was very very comfortable and warm with the mattress topper and diesel heater, we had the best sleep we’ve had in a long time, 5 stars all the way we highly recommend to anyone looking to hire a camper to go and explore, she’s the perfect little setup for any weather and for off grid, the only part we didn’t like was when we had to give her back 😂 we’ve already planned our next couple of trips to explore Cornwall and a trip over to jersey. Thank you for the hire dean we had an amazing Christmas and can’t wait for our next trip with Doris, we appreciate it, see you soon

Innanzitutto, ho trovato il tetto difficile da alzare e abbassare, non ho molta forza nella parte superiore del corpo e con il passare della settimana è diventato più facile, quindi una considerazione se questo può riguardare anche te. Inoltre, ha iniziato a piovere forte mentre stavamo facendo il check-in, quindi Dean ha rimesso a posto il letto mentre completavo il check-in e quindi non l'ho visto, non c'era un video, quindi la mia prima mattina è stata un po' dura. Anche se ho imparato a tirare la cinghia dal retro del furgone (che in realtà è piuttosto facile), il che è diverso da come lo fa lui comunque 🙃... Lo consiglio a chiunque altro non abbia l'altezza e la forza per farlo dalla parte anteriore.

Thank you Janine, it was great meeting you and I hope you enjoy the rest of your time in Europe. You were the first person to hire DORIS in such cold weather and I'm sorry that things were less than 100% - the weather was really aweful when you left, but I'm glad you had a few days of sunshine. She is booked in this week to have the cab heating looked at before the next scheduled hire in December. There is actually video on the bed, but it isn't in the book because it's the full tour that I only send to people when someone else is checking out DORIS for me. However, I'm now going to put this one in the book too!

We thoroughly enjoyed having Doris! It was our First time camping in a van. The handover over with dean was great and smooth. The only annoying bit was the long paperwork on the app (not deans fault). We went all around the Cornish and Devon coast in 8 days, including Dorset. Visiting places like Plymouth, looe, Penzance, lands end, st Ives, Newquay , perranporth, Dartmoor and the new forest with our dog. There was some days we were watching the sunset on the beach, we had some rainy times too but we made the most of it. Deans videos are very helpful if you’re ever stuck. The little details made Doris extra special like tea, coffee, cups, pillows. Also, to hand was the videos with qr codes and deans contact number in the van - very helpful. We had a great holiday! We would happily use Doris again :) x
