We had a wonderful trip with Shauni's campervan. Communication beforehand was smooth, and the campervan was clean and well-equipped. We were therefore initially satisfied with our experience. However, afterward, minor damage was discovered. We don't dispute this, but we find the costs charged excessive in relation to the damage itself. Moreover, the repairs had already been carried out before we were informed that the deposit would be retained. Therefore, we had no opportunity to consult with the client beforehand or obtain an independent assessment. We're adding some photos so future tenants can objectively assess the extent of the damage and the reasonableness of the repair costs. In case the photos don't make this clear: the damage was a scratch on the black plastic bumper, approximately 3 cm long and 1 mm wide, for which a fee of €463 was charged. We understand that an owner wants to keep their campervan in good condition, but for us, traveling also means being able to drive around relaxed, without the constant worry that a small scratch could lead to a large bill. Perhaps there are renters who share Shauni's strict vision and for whom this is a perfect fit. However, we've found that this rental method doesn't align with our idea of carefree travel. Had we known this beforehand, we probably would have continued looking for a different campervan. Hopefully our experience will help future tenants to properly estimate what to expect. Ottobre 2025
