Paulo and his van were the perfect match for our holidays in Madeira (beginning of July). We spent 2 weeks discovering the island, hiking, visiting, finding some amazing unexpected spots. Madeira deserve slow travel, there is so much to see and live… A tip: if you prefer less touristic places, you should prioritize north and west costs… Paulo is a very nice and friendly ally to achieve the travel (his own Google Map is so useful !). The van is perfect, very well equipped, we had absolutely no trouble during our journey. Highly recommended !
We had an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The van was perfectly prepared, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our trip around Madeira. Paulo and the team were extremely helpful at every stage, from the first contact to the return of the van. They gave us great advice, useful maps and tips, which made the whole trip much easier and even more enjoyable. Madeira by campervan was honestly a lifetime experience — incredible views, beautiful places and total freedom to explore the island at our own pace. We would recommend this experience from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you again for everything, and hopefully see you again soon!
Il viaggio con il van di Paulo è stato fantastico! Il van era davvero funzionale e fornito di tutto il necessario per viaggiare in comodità. Paulo è sempre stato molto disponibile a fornirci le informazioni di cui avevamo bisogno e non potevamo desiderare di meglio per il nostro viaggio a Madeira! Consigliamo a tutti di vivere questa esperienza e quindi di utilizzare il van di Paolo per scoprire l'isola.

We had five brilliant days in this lovely and comfortable campervan. Rarely do the listings live up to reality, but in this case they absolutely did. Even our taxi driver who dropped us off showed a hint of envy at our home for the next five days :) Paulo was very friendly and helpful when we went to collect it. He took us through everything, showed us how to use the cooker, how to fill the water, how to empty the water, what all the various switches and buttons do etc. Once we were familiar with the workings of everything and had signed the paperwork, we got on the road. The roads around Medeira can feel very narrow with sharp bends everywhere, but the vehicle handles these well and can easily climb those steep hills. We headed to the nearby supermarket first for supplies, then headed for our first stop. Once parked, we chilled with cups of tea. The build quality of the interior is excellent and very well thought out. There’s plenty of space for luggage and all the groceries. The fridge is a generous size as well and easily accommodated all our food and drink. There are some nice touches such as supplying a decent Bluetooth speaker, a coffee pot, and some herbs and spices are there for cooking with. The mattress felt a little hard when we first went to bed, but I’ll have to say, we slept very well for those five nights. Thermal liners are used on the windows to block the light out and they work well. There is also a shower and toilet. The latter will require emptying so be prepared for this if you’re not familiar. Overall we really enjoyed our five days. We had views that no hotel could provide and could go somewhere completely different the next day. I would thoroughly recommend.
