Meet Doris – your off-grid retreat on wheels, based in the heart of Notting Hill.

Doris isn’t just any old lady, she’s your front-row seat to some of the most breathtaking landscapes the UK (and beyond!) has to offer. With her bold red coat and cosy, cabin-style interior, Doris is made for lazy mornings, winding country roads, and spontaneous escapes. Whether it’s a romantic weekend in the Cotswolds, a surfing trip to Cornwall, or a wild off-grid adventure, Doris is ready to roll.

Sleeping two in a cleverly converted layout, Doris offers a comfy queen-size bed made from soft bench cushions — perfect for stretching out after a day of exploring. Wake up to fresh coffee brewed on the gas hob, throw open the back doors, and soak in nature’s finest: misty hills, glittering lakes, or a quiet forest clearing.

Her interior is a warm and welcoming mix of whitewashed walls, natural wood finishes, and soft blue cabinetry — the definition of rustic charm. A fold-away table creates a central hub for meals, card games, or route planning, while thoughtful storage and open shelving keep everything in its place, with space to spare.

Doris is kitted out for comfort whatever the weather, with a built-in heater to keep you toasty on chilly evenings. She’s also equipped with a two-burner hob, plenty of storage, a roof rack for extra gear, and a brand new sound system — perfect for setting the vibe on the open road.

Doris is perfectly placed for spur-of-the-moment weekend getaways or longer road trip adventures. And with that head-turning red exterior, you’ll always spot her at the campsite.

Description of Beds: The two bench seats quickly convert into a generous queen-size bed (180cm x 150cm), complete with a thick, foam mattress topper for extra comfort. Perfect for starry nights, lazy mornings, and stretching out after a day of exploring.

Description of Seating: Three belted seats in the front (including driver).

Description of Electrical Setup: 2 USB chargers, 4 12V charge plugs that run off a dedicated leisure batter. Additional sockets when connected to the mains (cables included).

Parking: You must have a permit to be able to park on the street.

Kitchen Facilities: There are two gas hubs inside, coffee moka pot, large cool-box, and all the kitchen utensils you need to have a great adventure away.

Bathroom Facilities: We provide a shower "bag", that can be attached to the side of the van.

Audio Equipment: Doris has a brand new Sony hi-fi system installed. For when parked up, I can provide a bluetooth speaker.

Type of Heating: There is a gas heater for those cold winter nights, although Doris is well insulated!

Conversion Story: Doris started out as a simple panel van — we gave her a new lease of life with a cosy, cabin-inspired conversion. We wanted a space that felt warm, practical, and comfortable for proper getaways, so we kept things simple: a comfy bed, a space to cook, and room to relax. A few thoughtful touches later — like the heater, roof rack and new sound system — and she was ready to hit the road. Now she’s all set for your next adventure.
