Dug was an absolute Dream to rent! I had the warmest welcome from Lou which included an Irish hamper full of sweets treats and goodies. The check in process with Lou was smooth and speedy, as Lou sent over a few handy videos before the hire so I could get to grips with how Dug liked things done. Super efficient and informative. Dug was spotless and had everything I needed for my adventure around N.I. Comfy beds, great on fuel, all the mod cons, and an absolute pleasure to drive as he is the perfect size. I would highly recommend hiring Dug from Lou as she has kept him in perfect condition. I can’t wait for him to join me again on my next adventure in N.Ireland. Haydn :) x

House Rules for Hiring Dug – The Pop-Top Campervan
We want you to have an amazing adventure in Dug! To keep him in great shape for all future explorers, please follow these simple house rules:
Driver Requirements
Drivers must be aged 25–75 with at least 2 years of full UK or EU licence experience.
Maximum of 3 points on the licence (subject to insurance approval).
Additional ID and proof of address will be required prior to hire.
Fuel Policy
Dug will be provided with a full tank of diesel—please return him full.
If not, a refuelling charge will apply.
No Smoking or Vaping
Absolutely no smoking or vaping inside the van. A £150 cleaning fee will apply if this rule is broken.
Pets
Furry friends are welcome with prior agreement. Please don’t leave pets unattended inside the van, unless you have the dog in a suitable crate and using your sense to not leave a dog in a hot van.
Cleaning
Please return Dug in a clean and tidy condition.
All rubbish must be removed and any spills or mess cleaned up.
An additional cleaning fee may apply if the van is returned in poor condition.
Toilet
Toilet must be emptied and cleaned before return, or a £50 charge will apply.
Mileage Limit
Reasonable daily mileage is included. Excessive mileage may incur extra charges—please ask for details.
Travel Area
Dug is insured for travel throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
Travel outside of this area is not permitted without prior approval.
Wild Camping & Campsites
Dug has a leisure battery but no solar—so off-grid camping is possible for short periods only. We recommend campsites for longer stays.
Damage & Accidents
Any damage must be reported immediately.
The driver is responsible for any damage caused during the rental period.
A security deposit is held and will be returned after a successful inspection.

A fantastic 11 nights of adventure in Dug. Louise was a brilliant host who couldn't have been more welcoming and thoughtful to our needs whilst away in Dug. The small box of goodies was a lovely touch. Dug was in great condition, well stocked and contact throughout the trip was easy and responses speedy.

It was an absolute pleasure to hire Dug out to Nicola, Tim and their gorgeous baby Bertie. From start to finish they were a dream to deal with, friendly, organised and so respectful of Dug. They looked after him beautifully during their 11-night adventure and returned him in perfect condition.
It was so lovely to see a young family making memories together and embracing the freedom of campervan life. I’d happily welcome them back any time and can’t recommend them enough as guests!
