We rented the VW bus from Nicky for our 10-day tour of Scotland, and we were more than satisfied with the vehicle. The car drove exceptionally well and felt great on the road. The equipment was also in perfect condition and could be transformed in no time at all for sleeping, cooking, or quickly setting off again, which is exactly what you need when you want to be flexible on your trip and see many different places. With the VW bus, you can get anywhere – whether in the city, at a campsite, a parking lot, or a parking space in the countryside – and easily park the vehicle.
The vehicle handover was done by Mike, Nicky's partner. It was quick and straightforward, and he provided us with a thorough explanation of the vehicle. He also gave us some great tips for our journey, and it was overall a very fun and enjoyable conversation. It is especially worth mentioning that Mike immediately took a 3.5-hour trip without hesitation when the plug of our hook-up electronics came loose. He cheerfully fixed it directly at our campsite and then drove 3.5 hours back home. Such actions are not taken for granted and were truly impressive from Mike! The return of the vehicle was also completely uncomplicated and quick.
All in all, we are very happy with our decision to rent the VW bus from Nicky and Mike, and we would do it again every time. Absolute recommendation!
