Mixed feelings about this experience. Never met Stuart - his lovely dad did the handover both ends. Apparently the key had been left in the ignition the night before (!) so the starter battery was dead. This was a two-hour delay for our agreed pickup time, which was communicated to us 20 minutes before we were to pickup. The battery was charged apparently but despite this and two hours driving we still had to get a jumpstart from someone in a carpark. Tried to call Stuart when it wouldn't start but no answer. Wrote to say we had to get a jumpstart from someone and then got a message to say the battery looked OK from the tracker (?) and that there were cables under the seat. No apology. Let him know when it started the next morning because you know, basic decency, but got nothing back. So not the best customer service in any way shape or form. The van itself was fine. Old. The heating is completely nuts. Hot or nothing. The kitchen equipment is one kettle, one small pan and one saucepan no lid. Towels not provided despite it saying there were. We had a great trip, but would book something else next time. Ottobre 2024
