Me and my girlfriend have rented the VW Belter van for 13 days to travel around the west coast of Scotland. We started with the Isle of Mull, and then proceeded to Isle of Skye, finishing our trip with the coast towards Ullapool, before driving via Inverness back to Glasgow. Mark & Lynne were a very warm & friendly host! The handover with Mark was very friendly and casual, and Lynne was available & very responsive for all the questions we had. Mark & Lynne were also flexible and allowed us to return the van at a later time than required, which required some arrangement on their end as well - very appreciate that! The van was great for 2 people. It is a new car that is serviced really well, so we had zero driving-related issues - everything was great. The van was also perfect for the lot of the single-track roads we have encountered on the islands. Mark has some stiff insurance on the van, and really maintains it well. Regarding van's living facilities, we had a misfortune that the main van's water tank was being repared, so Mark installed a smaller, 10L water tank into the van. This was not ideal as we were spending most of our time off-grid (we visited a campsite 2-3 times in 13 days, if I remember correctly), but it was easy to compensate with a bunch of store-bought 5L bottles, so it was not much of a problem. With regards to our off-grid living, I would also like to point out that the van's leisure battery is in brilliant state! We never charged our van via 220V sockets, only relying on the generator while driving to replenish the power, and the battery never fell below 3/5, allowing us to have refrigerator on all the time. I often had bad experience with leisure batteries, but this one was top notch. Personally, we would find it hard for the van to accommodate 3-4 people, as the mattress on the top is quite thin, and sleeping on the top of the van results in a very hard sleeping surface. But for two people, it is perfect. We simply used the top mattress to "soften" the bottom bed even more. Mark & Lynne also provided us with warm bedding for the cold(ish) Scottish nights. Maybe one thing that's relatively minor, but would be useful on some of the locations where we slept, would be a pair of wheel levellers/chocks, which the van doesn't include (as far as we know). We saw some campervans use these to good effect on not-straight parking slots, that's why I'm writing this feedback here. Anyway - we would warmly recommend this van for both the friendliness of the owners, as well as for the state of the van. We had a really great vacation!

Would highly recommend Mark and Lynne and their campervan to anyone. Simply put the most accommodating collection and delivery I could have asked for. Van is impeccable. There wasn’t one scratch on the van inside or out. A pleasure to drive. Highly recommended. Will absolutely use again.

We had a great few days in the campervan, despite dreadful weather. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. We were given a thorough explanation of how to use the van and our car was left safely on their drive. We felt we thoroughly tested all aspects of the van, as we wanted to test one prior to purchase. The main bed was easy to flatten and was surprisingly comfortable and flat. There are pans and crockery for cooking a camping meal. The van also has a small oven/grill that we didn't test. The pop-up roof is easy enough to operate, but we didn't try the roof bed as the main one was comfortable enough. The diesel heater was very quick to heat the van.

I highly recommend Mark and Lynne and their camper van. You have everything you need because the van is fully equipped. Comfortable, functional and the hosts took care of every detail. We drove around the Isle of Skye and felt like we were in our own van, no surprises or problems. Everything went smoothly, we got all the instructions and help. Me and my partner hired Marks Campervan for a weekend touring Scotland, it was extremely easy to drive and comfortable! It’s fair to say it was the most gorgeous van on every campsite! Mark was extremely helpful on the handovers and Lynne was very quick to respond to any messages/ enquiries whilst booking! They were extremely flexible with collection/ drop off times, we will definitely be contacting them to hire there beautiful van again!! I cannot recommend hiring a Campervan enough!

Mark & Lynne were great to deal with, easy going and very accommodating. Everything about the van is perfect, easy to drive and set up once you find your spot for the night. The heater works very well, which my wife was happy about as she gets quite cold. This van has everything you could ever need and I couldn’t recommend them any higher, absolutely perfect!!

We rented Mark and Lynnes campervan for 10 nights to do the NC500. It was perfect for the two of us. Really clean, easy to use and great to drive. Mark and Lynne were lovely and so helpful. We would definitely use their camper again, well worth the money.

Lynne and Mark are the best! They were so kind and made sure we had everything we needed. The van itself was a dream to drive and use. Such a smooth drive and very efficient with petrol. The hob worked perfectly and we cooked lots of lovely post-hike dinners (and a perfectly sized fridge for food and wine). Both beds were nice and comfy and, when we did need to use the heater, it made the van super cosy in minutes! Lynne and Mark's kindness made it for us though - thanks for being so lovely and accomodating! Ps one tiny thing was that the water tank was fairly small so we just made sure we had some bottled water on us and filled up when we could but makes sense in such a smart and compact van so not a criticism just advice!
