We had a last minute change in plans and were delighted that Erik’s van was available for rent. Because we were desperate, I searched goboony for vans across The Netherlands, not only near us in Amsterdam. At first I thought Erik was located in the province of Zeeland but it turns out there’s a little town by the same name. Who knew! It was actually convenient to drive to the van rental location, rather than to pick up the van and bring it to our house. Also, we were able to leave our car parked in the wharehouse (stalling) in Zeeland. Erik is very kind and easy to communicate with via goboony/whatsapp. When we arrived to pick up the van, he gave us a thorough tour and explained how everything worked. We rode off feeling confident on how to handle the van and it was indeed very easy to drive. A nice thing about picking up the van in Zeeland was that we had a shorter drive time to Belgium and Luxembourg where we vacationed. Our favorite spot was Camping Park Beaufort near the Mullerthal trail. The setting is beautiful, there’s a big pool and a cute little town with all the amenities including a grocery store and bus stop to ride the (free!) public transit to other sites in the region. We got compliments on the van, also from another VW van aficionado who looked under the hood and was impressed with Erik’s handiwork. The solar panel is a great touch because the fridge kept running even when we spent the day at a climbing forest/animal park. We mostly slept two of us upstairs and two of us in a tent. The downstairs then stayed in living room/kitchen mode which I found convenient. Our kids LOVED hanging out in the van. It was a big hit. The only thing I would have done differently is reduced the number of dishes that we brought because we didn’t need all of them and then we would have had a little more room for food storage. For the rest, the van had everything we needed for a fun adventure out on the road. I would highly recommend renting a van from Erik!!!

De briefing van Erik bij het ophalen van de camper was uitgebreid en zeer volledig.
De reis ging via de Bourgogne, Vaucluse, Luberon naar d Ardèche en de Morvan.
S'nachts was het nog fris en dus jammer dat de standkachel het niet deed, verder is het een kranig busje.
Ultieme vrijheid!
Erwin
Erik is een echte VW fanaat en zijn kennis en secuurheid geeft veel vertrouwen. De bus is voor zijn leeftijd in hele goede staat en de motor loopt heerlijk. Door dit alles hebben wij een geweldige reis kunnen maken naar Zeeland, België, Luxemburg en Frankrijk.

De overdracht met Erik was plezierig, uitgebreid en volledig. 2 weken Bretagne was ideaal om te camperen. Eerste ervaring in campervan is heel goed bevallen! De camper is compleet ingericht en rijdt heel prettig.

Heel goed! Het contact verliep erg prettig en de camper is erg fijn om mee op pad te gaan.

Wij hebben last minute een camper gehuurd. Het liep allemaal op rolletjes. Over onze verhuurder Erik niets dan lof. Keurige camper met alles erop en eraan. Er is niets waar wij op mis grepen. Echt top. Een aanrader. Als wij weer een camper gaan huren gaan we zeker weer naar Erik en goboony.
