Booked the van for a static stay over 5 days, close to hire base, being joined by others for the middle 2 nights. We needed 4 single beds which Camomile provided. Booking in slow as poor Internet connection for uploading photos, but James sorted that out by printing the forms and we went on our way. Clear instructions all repeated in the van info folder. Useful camera showing road behind while driving as well as big wing mirrors. Van is easy and responsive to drive and park. She has limited storage for clothes/suitcases (may be our naivity) but well supplied with cooking, eating equipment. Took our own chopping board. Used shower as changing room as site had good showers and took pop up boots/coats/drying tent with drying rack we put up by front door. Welcome tray was a nice touch. Bug screens kept the crane flies out ..... Had a great stay in the van which provided all we needed. Thanks James! Settembre 2025

We had the absolute best experience renting from James. From the start, he was so generous with his time and patience, taking the stress out of the whole process. He went above and beyond with thoughtful touches and treats on board, which made our trip feel really special. Communication was excellent – James was always in contact and incredibly flexible, which made everything smooth and easy. The motorhome itself was immaculate – spotless inside and out, and stocked with absolutely everything you could possibly think of (and more!). It’s clear how well looked after it is, and it was a joy to drive too. We honestly couldn’t recommend James and his motorhome, Chamomile, highly enough. We can’t wait to book again for our next adventure! Agosto 2025

Louise and her family are genuinely nice people to hire to and we are so happy they enjoyed a lovely time in Camomile and made good use of her paddleboard. I am just back from a 5 day break with my husband, sister and little niece There were several issues with the motor home. 1 it was hired as a 6 berth motor home. There was barely room for 4. 1a The bunk beds turned out to be only one bed. The other bed was used as a storage area for the owner’s equipment so was unusable. 1b The double bed that is made out of the dining area is far to short for adults and would certainly not be big enough for 2 people. It was too short to be a double bed. My sister slept with her feet on the ladder used to access the other bed. 1c The double bed was up a very steep ladder.with little room for manoeuvrability 1d The only way my husband could actually sit up was if he put his head through the sun roof. 1e The ladder was dangerous, I fell off it as there was no way to attach both sides of the ladder to the floor. I am badly bruised and shaken. 2 There is hardly any storage in the motor home. The wardrobe has a microwave and so many pots and pans that it is full . All there was was a half a cupboard ( as the other half was filled with the owners Books and games) and a small store under half the seat opposite the dining area. We ended up having to use the bathroom to store all our belongings, spare clothes, shoes and food storage. Thankfully there were facilities on site so we didn’t need to use it. 3The bunk bed(s) one was used by my little niece she complained that the slats were unattached. It was obvious that this was a recurring theme as the slats had been put back upside down. Had we known that there was only enough room for 4 we would never have hired Agosto 2025

Risposta da James The hirer was very happy with the handover of the van and appreciated the extras that Camomile offered, including the cooking and entertaining inventory The hirer was offered the optional awning to provide extra space for the festival but she declined. The awning had been successfully used by previous festival hirers. The hirer stated she appreciated the complimentary welcome back which had been consumed. The hirer complained: 1. that the ladder to the overcab had given way when she used it. I showed here that the ladder base was broken due to her use and that the ladder had been checked and used successfully by the previous 5 hirers. It should be noted that the hired progressed with the hirer even knowing that her mobility was limited 2. The hirer complained that the middle double bed was not long enough for her sister. I stated that the vehicle's manufacturer's consider the middle convertible bed to be a suitable adult double bed 3. The hirer complained that the slats had come away in the upper bunk and stated that this was not the first time without providing any evidence. I replied that this issue had not been noted with previous hirers who were happy with the bunks which had been used by teenagers and had been used successfully for 10 days by a family of six plus a large dog without the awning 4. The hirer complained that Camomile was too well equipped for off-grid use. I explained that Camomile is hired for different occasions both on and off grid and her extensive features have been appreciated by previous hirers I agreed not to charge the hirer for the replacement ladder that she broke - cost £75 as a gesture of goodwill. I also agreed not to charge the hirer for repairing the damaged bunk bed slats - £35 This hirer stated that she would not be asking for a refund and had enjoyed the festival in Camomile. Clearly Camomile was not suitable for hirers with limited mobilty and the hirer should consider this for future hires via GoBoony This hirer stated that she and her husband had used Camomile to decide the type of motorhome they would like to buy. As an owner, this hirer (not her husband) has been unreasonable and inconsistent and I would not advise hiring to her

Abbiamo noleggiato questo camper di recente e abbiamo apprezzato la consegna impeccabile da parte di James, che è stato cortese e professionale. Ma dopo aver chiuso e riaperto il veicolo, l'odore era insopportabile, soprattutto nella zona del letto inferiore (6° letto) e nel vano portaoggetti, rendendoli inutilizzabili. Quando abbiamo fatto presente l'odore a James, ci ha spiegato che il camper era stato precedentemente affittato a un cliente con animali domestici e che era stato pulito da un professionista, ma a quanto pare non era così. Abbiamo trovato peli di animali su tutti i coprimaterassi, un forte odore proveniente dal tappetino e polvere e peli nella zona dei sedili, che ho dovuto pulire io stessa dato che viaggiavamo con bambini. Anche i bordi di tutte le finestre erano impolverati e presentavano peli di animali visibili. Il ripiano della griglia all'interno del frigorifero aveva una macchia bianca e lo sportello dell'armadietto a specchio del bagno non si chiudeva correttamente. Per rendere lo spazio utilizzabile, abbiamo utilizzato degli eliminatori di odori e abbiamo coperto tutte le aree in tessuto, incluso il sedile del conducente, con le nostre lenzuola e asciugamani. Abbiamo completamente evitato di usare la quinta e la sesta cuccetta, il bagno e il vano portaoggetti. La TV non funzionava, nonostante James avesse detto che c'erano 10 sterline di credito: YouTube continuava a caricare. Inoltre, il tappo del serbatoio dell'acqua era allentato e James ci aveva detto di tenerlo in macchina durante la guida e di rimetterlo in posizione solo quando eravamo fermi. Per questo motivo, l'acqua continuava a fuoriuscire a ogni svolta a destra e rotonda. Risposta da James I have tried to be reasonable about this renter Camomile is advertised as pet friendly. They were told this . Camomile is in very good condition for her age cosmetically and mechanically She was professionally cleaned and I spent 2 hours preparing her for this hire. Clearly we were not expecting to be criticised about the condition of the external window seals They tried to negotiate on deposits and price before renting Despite being late for the collection we had a thorough handover and explained a couple of small issues. They did not complain When they advised about the WiFi the next day we topped it up twice and showed them the credit was on the account. They asked for a refund which was politely declined Clearly their first expectations of campervan hire are very high and I am sorry that Camomile disappointed them. All other hirers have been very positive and appreciative We tried very hard to satisfy this renter but this proved to be impossible.

I was extremely happy with the vehicle, it was an absolute trooper driving through wales, with no struggles as anyone thats driven in wales will know its not always easy, James is a lovely man, was extremely helpful, was easily able to answer all questions available and the van was very easy to use concidering it was my first time with a camper van, and should we have forgotten, there was an extensive book on how everything works, how to fold the table into a bed etc, the van managed to hold 6 of us with no issues. Sleeping was tight but that would be expected with 6 fully grown men, we also loved meeting james dogs who were all lovely, i would HIGHLY reccomend renting from james, he was extremely fair and understanding when letting him know unfortunately we damaged a pan as a mate thought it a good idea to try cook on an open campfire and he was more than accomodating, i have literally zero complaints and would highly recommend the camper, saying that we didnt use the onboard facilities sich as showers, sinks & toilets as we had onsite options but all seemed to work as it should and was easy to maintai should we have chose to.
