Russell went out of his way to make our holiday a success. He answers any questions we have and does his best to resolve any issues that arise. The motorhome is very well maintained and furnished. The price also includes shower towels along with bed sheets.

This motorhome is Not kitted out for 6 people There were only two of us and it was difficult There is NO microwave, the fridge door would not stay shut, there is No navigation system and had to use iPhone for directions of which there is no device to put your phone on. Although Russell is a very pleasant person unfortunately the same cannot be said about the motorhome .

The Windsor family of two were the most pleasant people that i have met with a lot of experience running there own camp site for many a year before they decided to retire . They brought a good few positive things to light when the motorhome was handed over to make future travelers more comfortable.
With regards to the motorhome that was purchased in April 2024 with the registration number of SP19 AWF, it is designed to carry 6 people at any given time, but on any booking taken by myself i would suggest it's defiantly not suitable for 6 adults but maybe just four adults and two children only at the max, but obviously the less people travelling the more comfortable the space will be in the motorhome. There is no microwave listed in the advertisement thus the reason for not being included, however this suggestion has been considered and will be included going forward. The fridge door does close and all guests are shown how to close it on all hires, the same on this occasion. On the listing it states that there is no navigation system provided and this is also mentioned on the handover as well. A holder for your phone is included as standers on the left side of the steering wheel, but if you have a protective cover then it will not fit in this space. All in al it's good to get feed back from my guest as there is always room for improvement. However going forward i would say that the bed above the drivers cab is not suitable for anyone that may have ailments that hinder them climbing up ladders into bunk beds.

Russell was welcoming and the handover was efficient and informative.
The motor home was fully equipped and supplied with everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. The vehicle was easy to drive and in perfect condition. We spent time in Aviemore, Inverness and the Black Isle staying in campsites and in a car park in Inverness before we did the Loch Ness Etape (a cycle event). The Motorhome was perfect for both.
I would not hesitate to recommend Goboony as a first time renter as they covered all the bases and made it all so easy.
Thanks especially to Russell for taking the care to make us feel like friends borrowing his motorhome for a few days!

Russell was an amazing host, before, during and post booking. His RV was all ready to go upon arrival with a great handover giving us all the info we needed and guidance on “how to” which really helped us navigate this very new experience for us.. we did the NC500 in 5 nights s and 6 days and it was absolutely amazing to experience. We loved every minute… thanks to Russell for trusting us RV newbies with his pride and joy… 🤩

Thanks Susan for your comments above, its always the best in all occasions to do a positive handover of the motorhome before and after so that all can walk away from the ppositive experiance they have had. Ffor my own safety concerns of my Asset, i would never let a customer leave with a full tank of water or waste water as it reduces the stopping distances on a Vehicle that a client has not driven before, also due to the extra weight you would use that little bit more fuel driving. I am not usually one to write reviews be they good or bad but in this instance I really feel the need. Cannot fault Goboony as a platform as it was easy to book and customer aftercare seems to be good. We booked with Russell as he had a van capable of housing 2 adults and 4 children and was reasonably priced. We took out the extra insurance cover at the time of booking and looked forward to our holiday. We were asked to pick up the van at a train station near to the owners house. 15 minutes before we arrived at the designated time we received a barrage of dozens of photographs depicting supposed previous damage made by other renters. Upon our arrival Russell was there and waiting for us. He told us that we must try and be frugal with the gas as he did not want to replace the bottles. He also told us the van required ad-blue and could we put this in with fuel. This is something that should be done by the owner not the renter, my own vehicle uses as-blue and is something that’s requires done intermittently. The awning on the vehicle was broken and he did not tell us until our arrival. The bedding was damp and we only had 2 quilts for 6 people. The chemical toilet had no chemicals in it and none were provided. The water tanks were only a third full and less than half a tank of fuel. All of this sent us off with a bad vibe and my wife and I both questioned our booking. The van was not big enough to accommodate 6 people which is no fault of the owners but simply a fact. We subsequently booked into an Airbnb for the last 2 nights of our travel. Upon our return we had totally cleaned the van inside for Russell’s inspection. We arrived full of trepidation as I had been wary the whole trip after our hand over with Russell and the photos he sent minutes before our meeting. Had we had been furnished with there in a more timely manor then I would have decided against going forward with Russell as the alarm bells would have been ringing. He did however look around the van and sign off on the Gobbony handover sheet that the van had indeed been returned free from damge. We left sharply S we wanted to visit Leakys bookstore in Inverness before the long drive home, the quick departure is something Russell would question later. I had to say to my wife on the journey home that my concerns had been in-warranted…… until yesterday we received a communication from Russell saying that upon further inspection whilst washing the van he had in fact found damages. I contacted him immediately and he was firm that the vehicle had been damaged and shows images of what would have been easily visible from even the most cursory of walk arounds. Thank God I had taken a video of the van seconds before Russell had arrived showing the very panels with alleged damage were in fact free from damage upon our return. Russell then in turn said to forget it and the damage sustained would be taken care of by himself. The alleged damage on the vehicle actually looked like someone had used black marker pen to draw cracks on several panels.

To all Past / Present / Future Renters
It has been nearly 2-1/2 year that i have been renting out my motorhome with no negative feedback from any renters as you can see from previous reviews. All renters have the entitlement to express there opinion on the service provided by any motorhome provider. I am not in the game to justify myself on the comments above. I can only say that Michael and his family enjoyed the rental of my motorhome all the way through the days they hired it. on the return from there break there was only positive things to say when the motorhome was handed over in a bit of a hurry which Michael has explained however didn't complete a full handover on the day of return to myself which was partially my fault for not insisting . After he departed on his journey back home, i notified him of the damages that were on the Motorhome prior to his family return from his holiday break on the NC500 and even thou the Motorhome was clean inside the waste tanks were not empty as they are required to be on every handover.
On notification of the damages and the none compliance of how the Motorhome was give to me i received the above dialogue to my despair. At no time have i accused Michael of any damages or asked him to pay for them , but if anything just needed feedback which you can see i defiantly got. I really hope that this experience has not put off Michael and his family from hiring again from another provider, but have great sorrow that the positive conversation i had with him all through hire ended up in a total annihilation of what i do provide and will continue doing going forward.

We hired Russells motorhome last week (March 2025) to drive around the NC500 - or at least most of the main route anyway!
Russell was great from the start - helpful, considerate, gave advice and suggestions, arranged to meet us at an easy location, gave us all the information we needed and really made us feel welcome using his motorhome. The vehicle itself - modern, easy to drive, clean and very nice to drive around in. We'd definitely look to hire this again before considering any other alternatives.

Russell was ķind and helpful throughout the whole experience. He took time to explain how everything worked in the campervan at handover and was always available at the other end of the phone to help out when we required assistance. The motorhome is modern and the beds are nice and comfortable. We travelled to Oban then made our way through the stunning countryside to plockton. We cannot wait to experience life in a campervan again. We will be sure to keep in touch with Russell.

What a gentleman, Russell was brilliant throughout our experience. The handover etc was impeccable. If we had a question to ask, Russell would reply in minutes, nothing was too much for him. The motor home was clean when we picked it up and we found the beds very comfortable. We both suffer from bad backs, but had no pain when we got up the following morning. The whole experience was very enjoyable thanks to Russell.

This was by far the best holiday we have ever had (NC500) and it wouldn’t have been possible without Russell. Russell supported us and helped us with any questions we had regarding his wonderful motorhome and helped us navigate our way round the NC500. He was always avaliable on the phone when ever we needed him and gave us the best advice on what attractions to see and what routes to take. Russell you made our holiday a 5* rating. The motorhome was amazing, so easy to drive and great space for my family of 5 with three big tall lads at over 6'4". Russell the owner is so helpful and really helped us out when we had issues with our car on the way up to Inverness, couldn't thanks him enough. We al really enjoyed this trip and waking up so close to nature and some of Scotland's most beautiful beaches, highly recommend for any time of year.

We had a fabulous holiday using Russell's motorhome, which was clean and well equipped (everything you need for a comfortable experience). The motorhome was easy to drive and use, even for us novices! And when we did have any questions or queries, Russell (and Kaerin) were easily contactable/knowledgeable and reassuring.
When our travel plans were thrown into disarray, and having to drop off the motorhome early, Kaerin was very accommodating, ensuring we caught our train home. Russell was lovely, no problem that he couldn't solve, many thanks to both of you!
We completed the NC500 (visited many places of interest along the way) and also dropped down onto the Isle of Skye, the scenery was breathtaking, people friendly.....we will not forget this adventure easily.

We hired Russell's motorhome for a trip to the Outer Hebrides and have so many great memories from our two weeks away. Booking was straight forward and Russell responded promptly to our questions and provided us with all the necessary information for a straight forward collection from Bunchrew campsite. The motorhome was a delight to drive and has everything you need for a comfortable trip. We found the huge fridge extremely handy and the electronic dashboard that controls the lighting and indicates the fresh water and waste water levels was very helpful as we mixed our overnight stops between formal campsites and wild camping (see pics). The rear garage also had plenty of space for an outdoor picnic table and six chairs (provided) as well as a set of golf clubs, trolley, fishing rods, wellies, dog food etc. Spending our last night at Bunchrew campsite also worked out well as we had plenty of time to transfer our belongings and clean the motorhome before the handover the following morning. We would recommend the hire of this motorhome if you wish to enjoy the stunning landscapes, sunsets and history of Scotland in comfort.

I cannot recommend Russell and his Motorhome highly enough. The vehicle was a dream to drive and live in. It was spotless on pickup and contained everything we needed for our trip.
This was our first time in a Motorhome so we were a bit apprehensive, we didn't need to be. We had a brilliant week on the NC500. Russell has been fantastic, promptly answering all our daft questions and supplied loads of information on the Motorhome, before and during the rental.
Without doubt we'll be back for more some time soon.

We had a really good trip in Russell’s mobile home. It is very well equipped and looked after, and was comfy and roomy for the two of us and our adult son. We particularly enjoyed the rear lounge as we could sit and watch the views on 3 sides. Russell was very responsive, and helpful with all our questions beforehand. The pick up and drop off worked well, and I would recommend spending the first night at the beautiful site where the van lives as we did, as it gave us the opportunity to get to know the vehicle before we set off the next day. Although it is a big motor home, driving was straightforward and an enjoyable experience. Overall we were very happy.
