We had a very mixed experience with the camping car, since we had a mechanical failure which did not allow us to continue the trip. I want to mention very clearly that the experience with Holly and Ewan (the owners) was very good despite the breakdown. The breakdown was not their fault, just a part failure that is not scheduled maintenance or anything. I don't blame them and the communication was very good before, during and after the breakdown. However, I was very disappointed in Goboony. They offered very little help and just sent us to the AA for help. The AA was great and figured everything out and got us into a different rental (it was a car, but at least we could continue to explore Scotland). Goboony's insurance is quite expensive (around £32 per day) and they do not reimburse for breakdowns, which I find to be extremely unfair (we used the van for 5/9 days and through no fault of our own we lost 4 x £32 of insurance and also 4 days of exploring in a van). I am extremely unlikely to work with goboony again because I do not agree with these policies. I would, however, be open to working with Holly and Ewan again because, as mentioned, none of this was their fault and communication was good and honest. Agosto 2025
