What a trip!! A huge thank you to Mel and Annie for their kindness and availability, which made our experience in beautiful Scotland truly unforgettable. Their van is very easy to drive and perfectly equipped with everything you need to fully enjoy a trip for two. Over 7 days, we only needed one refill for water, diesel, and gas, which made the journey even more convenient. I highly recommend this experience — the van has absolutely everything you need. Mel and Annie took the time to explain all the features clearly and were always available if needed. Scotland is an amazing and easy destination for a first campervan experience — definitely something to do at least once! Thanks again! Aprile 2026

Mel e Annie sono state le migliori. Amichevoli, disponibili e scrupolose. Rifarei questo servizio con loro senza esitazione. Per come lo abbiamo usato, il loro camper è stato perfetto. È davvero ben progettato, con un design fantastico che ti permette di sentirti a tuo agio in pochi minuti a ogni sosta. Dispone di schermi per la privacy integrati nei finestrini anteriori che si aprono in pochi secondi: un vantaggio considerevole per chi deve coprire i finestrini con uno schermo per la privacy esterno, considerando il clima scozzese. Riscaldamento e acqua calda a gas/elettrico (siamo andati in montagna a inizio novembre e ci siamo sempre trovati bene). Il caldo riscalda inevitabilmente l'acqua calda, quindi se non vi dispiace lavare i piatti al mattino, non dovete dedicare gas o elettricità al riscaldamento dell'acqua calda. Il frigorifero funziona con tre fonti: motore, corrente alternata e gas, mentre la parte freezer è riuscita a mantenere una pinta di gelato congelato per tutto il tempo. In un viaggio di 8 giorni, abbiamo consumato meno del 20% del serbatoio di GPL e abbiamo pagato solo 5 sterline per il rifornimento (1 sterlina al litro). Ora che ho capito, se dovessi rifarlo, consumerei più benzina per il riscaldamento e sarei meno preoccupato di sostituire il frigorifero con l'alternatore del motore. La mia parte preferita era la cucina con fornelli, forno e grill. I supermercati scozzesi offrono ottime opzioni per zuppe e antipasti pronti. Quindi, nelle sere in cui il pub non era un'opzione facile, preparavamo lasagne, zuppa e pane caldo, o una pizza ai funghi e mascarpone. Non avrei potuto preparare questi piatti meglio a casa mia, se non fosse stato per un tempo di riscaldamento leggermente più lento. Il letto è comodo. Abbiamo dormito bene ogni notte. Piccole cose come un supporto per il navigatore e caricabatterie per cellulari erano già installate. Detto questo, se venite dagli Stati Uniti, vi consiglio di portare sempre con voi un navigatore satellitare e magari di evitare di guidare di notte. La maggior parte delle strade scozzesi che abbiamo percorso erano molto buie, molto strette e spesso cambiavano drasticamente in pochi secondi, attraversando anche zone larghe solo per un singolo veicolo. Il furgone si guida bene. In 8 giorni abbiamo percorso circa 1200 miglia sugli altopiani e credo di aver speso 160 sterline di gasolio (a 1,40/LI, mi pare?). Mia moglie ed io pensiamo che questa sia stata la nostra migliore vacanza dopo 30 anni trascorsi insieme, e il merito maggiore lo dobbiamo al camper e al servizio di Mel e Annie. Novembre 2025

Nous sommes deux jeunes français et avons loué le van 1 semaine pour notre première expérience en van aménagé. C'était fantastique ! Le van est très fonctionnel, il ne manque de rien, tant dans sa conception que dans le matériel qu'il comporte. Nous avions pris l'option literie et serviettes puisque nous sommes venus en avion. La douche intérieure et l'eau chaude sont bien agréables pour l'automne. Melvin et Annie ont bien pris le temps de nous montrer TOUTES les spécificités du van avant de prendre la route. Ils se sont même rendus disponible pendant le voyage pour d'autres questions. Ce sont des personnes formidables que nous recommandons vivement ! Novembre 2025

We had a fantastic holiday with Mel and Annie’s campervan. The vehicle is very comfortable, fully equipped, and gave us some truly special days. We’re very grateful to have been able to travel with it and would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a complete motorhome experience. That said, we’d also like to share a little about our check-out experience. The day before check-out, we realised we had lost the waste water cap and made sure to buy and replace it ourselves at a specialist shop. This ended up taking longer than expected — the part was difficult to find and, once we did, the mechanic was further delayed — so although we had initially confirmed we’d be back on time, we later sent a message letting them know we would be about 20 minutes late. Unfortunately, we never received a reply. In the end, we arrived roughly 45 minutes late, but since our earlier message had gone unanswered, and we were still focused on finishing the repair, we didn’t send another update. We completely accept that the delay was our responsibility, but it did feel disappointing that the check-out was rushed and a bit awkward, especially as the camper was being moved while we were still inside packing. This was surprising, since when we first arrived we had been told there was no other booking for another two days and that, if needed, we could call and arrive up to two hours later (their booking calendar also showed there was no reservation scheduled during that time). We also understand that the responsibility is ours and we accept paying the deposit, as we already have. Still, it felt uncomfortable that the handover left no space for dialogue, and we would have appreciated the chance to explain the situation in person, rather than only finding out afterwards that the full £150 deposit had been withheld. That being said, we want to highlight again that the campervan itself is great, we felt very comfortable, and we truly enjoyed our trip. Mel et Annie nous on réservé un accueil très chaleureux. Leurs explications étaient bien claires et précises durant toutes les étapes de la réservation et de la location. Ils sont réactifs aux messages et sont très à l'écoute, toujours prêts à rendre service. Nous avons adoré voyager dans ce camping-car, fonctionnel et confortable (nous avons super bien dormi!) qui a été un parfait compagnon de route pour notre périple dans les Highlands. Agosto 2025

Mel y Annie han sido muy agradables en todo momento con nosotros, a pesar del idioma (nuestro inglés es bastante malo). Incluso Mel nos acompaño al lugar de pernocta del primer día. La furgoneta está muy bien, tiene calefacción, gas para cocinar y agua caliente que lo hacen muy comodo. A tener en cuenta que hay que estar pendiente del consumo de agua ya que el depósito tampoco es demasiado grande, pero no supuso ningún problema ya que hay muchos sitios disponibles para el llenado de aguas.Echamos de menos algún producto de limpieza para dejarla más limpia en la entrega. Pero El resumen Totalmente recomendado y positivo alquilar la camper con Mel y Annie.muchas gracias por todo. Giugno 2025

We had a wonderful 7-days roadtrip around Scotland thanks to Mel and Annie: they were very kind with us and provided everything we needed, including suggestions for local pubs! We enjoyed our vacation a lot, as the van was simply amazing for wild camping - you can easily operate the cooker, oven, heating eand water heater while wild camping. The van drives very smoothly and we really recommend renting it if you want to travel around Scotland ☺️ Aprile 2025

The van met all our expectations and suited travelling around Scotland very well. It was very clean and had everything we needed for self catering. The bed could be left as two singles(quicker) or pulled together as a full size double bed. We had good night's sleep. We also found the van very economical and easy to drive. Vorsicht vor falscher Freundlichkeit! Ich hatte noch nie so viel Ärger wie in diesem Urlaub. Der Camper hatte mehrere Defekte, ich mußte mich damit mindestens eine Woche herumärgern und Urlaubstage dafür opfern. Ich hatte zusätzliche Kosten, z.B. mußte ich viel öfter Campingplätze aufsuchen als ich sonst gemußt hätte, um ständig Wasser nachzufüllen und um duschen zu können. Es kann ja mal vorkommen, daß etwas übersehen wird. Aber daß ein ramponierter Camper keine Werkstatt sieht, sondern nahtlos weitervermietet wird, und man selber stümperhaft mit Klebeband bastelt- es also doch bemerkt hat finde ich dreist. Er hat es auch versucht so darzustellen, daß ich das verschuldet hätte. Zum Glück habe ich alle Belege und Schreiben von den Werkstätten aufgehoben. Von Kulanz keine Spur, im Gegenteil. Verantwortung wurde auch nicht übernommen. Die Schlichtung später über Goboony war wahnsinnig zeitraubend und hat so gut wie nichts gebracht. Die Frankfurter Tabelle, die normalerweise zugrunde gelegt wird, wurde nicht hinzugezogen. Ich kenne die Kriterien nicht. Anfangs fand ich alles sehr nett- obwohl ich es schon merkwürdig fand, von einem Fremden zur Begrüßung umarmt zu werden und, da ich aus Übermüdung nicht am gleichen Tag fahren wollte, mir ein Zimmer in seinem Haus anzubieten, seine Frau war verreist. Ich fand es wie gesagt merkwürdig, habe aber keinerlei Beschuldigung erhoben. Trotzdem hat seine Frau gelogen, die Tochter sei ja auch da gewesen. Zu dumm, daß er mir erzählte, daß eine Tochter in Dubai lebt und die andere in Australien gerade ein Kind bekommen hat. Ansonsten muß ich sagen, daß der Wagen zwar oberflächlich sauber war, die Polster aber so gemüffelt haben, daß die Kleidung nach dem Sitzen danach roch. Ich habe alles mehrfach desinfizieren müssen. Es roch auch aus den Waschbecken. Das Wasser würde ich nicht trinken oder zum Kochen verwenden, wenn man sieht, welche Essenreste vom Vorgänger noch Tage später beim Grey Water rauskommen- ekelig! Das angeblich so bequeme Luxusbett hat keine Matratze sondern wird aus den Polstern der Sitzbank zusammengesetzt, oft lag ich morgens in einer Spalte. Die Beine sind unter dem Kleiderschrank, da kann man sich schon blaue Flecken am Schienbein holen. Die Seitentür schloß manchmal nicht richtig, sie hat sich sogar während der Fahrt einmal geöffnet. Dafür hat die Selbstverriegelung mich einmal ausgeschlossen. Ich stieg kurz aus, der Schlüssel steckte noch im Zündschloß, machte die Tür zu und kam nicht mehr rein. Kein Handy, kein Geld, nicht mal eine warme Jacke hatte ich. In diesem Fall rettete mich die Seitentür, wo die Verriegelung nicht funktioniert hatte. Das war dem Besitzer auch bekannt, denn er war nicht überrascht (wie bei allen anderen Pannen) und teilte mir lapidar mit, wo er immer einen Ersatzschlüssel versteckt hat. (Bei Diebstahl zahlt da übrigens keine Versicherung!) Die Gangschaltung ist extrem schlecht und hakelig und ich fahre seit über 30 Jahren Schaltwagen. Das kann schon brenzlig werden in manchen Situationen, wo man schnell hochschalten muß. Ich könnte noch einiges mehr berichten, hab aber keine Lust mehr. Einen Punkt gebe ich für die Bettwäsche, die war sauber. Ottobre 2024

Mel and Annie are very warm and accommodating, communication went very well before, during and after our rental. They really took the time to explain everything clearly to motorhome beginners like us. The motorhome is in good condition, the interior is practical and comfortable (+++ mention for the bed, a joy!) and its size of 6m long is relatively manageable on the narrow Scottish roads. We really enjoyed our trip and waking up to incredible scenery every morning was awesome! Thank you so much Mel and Annie! Settembre 2024
